Job DescriptionWe are seeking a strategic and technically fluent Senior Manager of Marketing Technology to lead the ecosystem powering modern B2B demand generation and customer lifecycle marketing. This leader will translate business priorities into a scalable roadmap connecting data, content, orchestration, analytics, systems integration, and AI, while partnering across Marketing, Sales, Data, Technology, Security, Privacy, Legal, and Procurement.
What you will lead:- Partner with leadership to define the B2B marketing technology vision, roadmap, operating model, and investment priorities.
- Translate marketer and seller needs into use cases, requirements, solution designs, delivery plans, and business outcomes.
- Establish an integrated architecture across marketing automation, CRM, data, content, web, analytics, service, and activation platforms.
- Lead build-versus-buy decisions, platform selection, implementation, adoption, rationalization, and lifecycle management.
- Set governance for data, identity, consent, taxonomy, access, configuration, quality, releases, and change control.
- Manage cross-functional partnerships, vendors, agencies, and a community of platform owners and power users.
Focus Areas:Data Tools and Intelligence:- Use first-, second-, and third-party data to support account identification, segmentation, personalization, scoring, attribution, and next-best action.
- Improve identity resolution, account matching, data models, integrations, quality, activation, and full-funnel reporting.
- Ensure data and consent practices meet privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
Content Tools and Operations:- Advance tools for content planning, creation, collaboration, asset management, modular content, localization, personalization, distribution, and measurement.
- Create scalable workflows and metadata standards that improve reuse, discoverability, governance, and speed to market.
- Connect content platforms with web, campaign, sales enablement, analytics, and responsible AI capabilities.
Orchestration and Activation Tools:- Enable connected experiences across email, web, paid media, webinars, events, account-based marketing, and seller-assisted channels.
- Use triggers, reusable decision logic, experimentation, and real-time signals to improve journey performance and funnel velocity.
Customer Lifecycle Marketing:- Enable connected experiences across acquisition, onboarding, adoption, engagement, expansion, renewal, retention, advocacy, and reactivation.
- Translate lifecycle strategies into audiences, journey logic, content, triggers, handoffs, next-best actions, and measurement.
- Connect marketing, sales, service, product-usage, and partner signals to improve relevance and coordinate customer growth motions.
AI Across the Marketing Technology Stack:- Develop an AI roadmap spanning data, content, orchestration, analytics, operations, and productivity.
- Design, build, integrate, and scale AI and agentic workflows that securely coordinate models, data, platforms, APIs, and business rules.
- Move workflows from pilot to production with human oversight, evaluation, observability, access controls, fallback paths, and cost management.
- Partner with governance teams to address security, privacy, intellectual property, bias, accuracy, regulatory, and vendor risks.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain a prioritized roadmap with business cases, dependencies, investments, and expected outcomes.
- Maintain a centralized inventory of the existing marketing technology stack, documenting available tools, capabilities, ownership, integrations, and approved use cases for global marketing teams.
- Lead discovery through launch and continuous improvement for cross-functional technology initiatives.
- Integrate marketing, sales, service, data, content, and analytics systems using scalable patterns, shared identity, and clear data ownership.
- Define platform health, service levels, monitoring, support, adoption, and technical-debt practices.
- Evaluate vendors and build, buy, extend, or partner options based on fit, differentiation, time to value, integration, risk, resources, and total cost.
- Manage budgets, contracts, licenses, vendor performance, documentation, training, and executive communications.
This role is a hybrid position to be located in our Austin, TX office location. Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:- 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD;
Preferred Qualifications:- 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD.
- 8 or more years of progressive experience in marketing technology, marketing operations, revenue operations, digital marketing, enterprise applications, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success leading a B2B marketing technology ecosystem supporting demand generation, lifecycle marketing, account-based marketing, and sales alignment.
- Strong knowledge of marketing automation, CRM, customer and account data, content platforms, web, analytics, APIs, middleware, identity, and activation channels.
- Experience integrating systems and operationalizing AI, automation, or agentic workflows with appropriate governance and human oversight.
- Ability to lead vendor evaluations and build-versus-buy decisions using strategic, technical, financial, and risk criteria.
- Strong analytical, financial, communication, stakeholder-management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Experience in a global, matrixed, and regulated environment; people leadership experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant discipline; advanced degree or certifications are a plus.
Information for US Applicants :For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $138,300.00 to $ 221,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
