Job Description

RBC Digital Marketing is looking for a Senior Manager to join the Personal Financing Products (PFP) team - someone with a strong AI Search and SEO track record and a sharp eye for what drives organic growth.

In this role, you'll lead digital initiatives from cross-functional projects to the everyday tasks that uphold the operational standards of our web properties. As AI continues to reshape how people search, you'll have real opportunities to work at the leading edge of that shift - and to directly impact how individuals and families find the lending solutions they need.
  • Manage and coordinate updates to the public website, working cross-functionally with content, design, and development teams.
  • Triage and execute website maintenance requests while proactively monitoring site health and performance.
  • Plan, develop, and execute AI Search and SEO projects in close collaboration with Centre of Excellence, Marketing, and Line of Business partners.
  • Serve as the primary Digital Marketing point of contact for AI Search and SEO initiatives, partnering with stakeholders across the organization to implement best practices across all digital assets and drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on AI Search and SEO performance metrics - including traffic, rankings, conversions, and revenue - to inform strategy and measure impact.
  • Navigate complexity by collaborating with internal and external partners across the full project lifecycle, from ideation and strategy through execution and reporting.
  • Help build a high-performing team culture grounded in growth, curiosity, bold thinking, and a genuine bias toward experimentation and creative problem-solving.

Must-have:
  • 6+ years of digital marketing experience with hands-on SEO expertise.
  • Proven project management and organizational skills, including leading large-scale digital marketing projects with cross-functional teams from strategy through execution.
  • Working knowledge of - or genuine curiosity about - Answer Engine Optimization: structured data, schema markup, entity optimization, AI search surfaces, and how LLMs surface and cite brand content.
  • Technical proficiency, including familiarity with:
    • Reporting and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Search Console, and Siteimprove
    • Website A/B testing and personalization tools
    • Content Management Systems
    • Development, staging, and production environments
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and align internal and external partners at all levels.
  • Strong analytical instincts - comfortable working in data, building a clear story from it, and communicating findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Nice to have:
  • Financial Services marketing experience and/or experience in a large matrix organization.
  • Hands-on experience optimizing AI-driven search engines, voice search, and LLM citation surfaces (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, etc.).
  • E-commerce marketing or digital product ownership experience.
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript.

You'll be at the frontier of search - and you'll have the room to lead.

Most companies are still scrambling to understand AEO. RBC is already ahead of the pack. You'll be joining a team that's actively building the playbook - not following someone else's - which means real ownership, real learning, and real impact on how one of Canada's most trusted brands is discovered in the age of AI-powered search.

Here's what else you can count on:
  • Skill-building at the edge of the discipline. AEO is moving fast, and you'll be developing expertise in real time, with the resources and organizational support to experiment, test, and lead.
  • A dynamic, high-performing team that's collaborative, progressive, and genuinely invested in each other's growth.
  • Leaders who back you. You'll be supported by people who want to see you develop - not just deliver.
  • Work that challenges you. The problems are real, the stakes are meaningful, and the scale is significant.
  • A comprehensive Total Rewards Program including performance bonuses, flexible benefits, and competitive compensation.
