What You'll Do- Lead accounting operations across areas such as payroll, service operations, clinical accounting, and the financial close process.
- Manage and develop accounting professionals, including offshore team members.
- Improve efficiency through process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Partner with Finance and business leaders to solve accounting issues and enhance processes.
- Lead transformation projects, including workflow automation and SAP S/4HANA initiatives.
- Use data and analytics to improve reporting, controls, and decision-making.
- Coach and mentor team members to build a strong, high-performing organization.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes and implement scalable solutions.
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications- 7+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, controllership, or accounting operations.
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams or leading large cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, internal controls, and close processes.
- Experience working in a large, complex organization.
- Proven success improving processes, driving automation, and increasing operational efficiency.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and lead organizational change.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in Shared Services, a Center of Excellence, Global Business Services, or a large corporate accounting environment.
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, BlackLine, Oracle, or similar financial systems.
- Experience leading finance transformation or accounting centralization initiatives.
- Experience implementing automation solutions that improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
- Understanding of SOX compliance, audits, and internal controls.
- Experience using analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, Dataiku, SQL, or similar technologies.
- Experience managing offshore or global teams.
- CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification.
Education- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:
$82,940.00 - $182,549.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
