Job DescriptionCore Technical Requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and FOCUS
- Experience working in batch processing environments
- Hands-on knowledge of CA-7 scheduling
- Strong understanding of flat files and dataset-based processing environments
- Capability to analyze and interpret legacy/custom-developed programs, including:
- Understanding program logic and workflows
- Identifying data flows and dependencies
- Supporting maintainability and system documentation
Key Expectations:
- Ability to independently review and assess existing mainframe codebase
- Strong analytical skills to decode and document legacy systems
- Prior experience in onsite lead roles, managing and guiding offshore teams
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to GIT / GitLab
- Experience with IDz (IBM Developer for z/OS)
We are looking for candidates who have deep technical expertise in mainframe environments, not just support-level experience.
Mandatory Skills: Application Modernization - Mainframe.
Experience: 5-8 Years.
The expected compensation for this role ranges from CAD 77000 to CAD 120000 .
