Senior Mainframe Developer / Technical Lead for a hybrid opportunity for candidates in Columbia, SC. The Candidate will provide both hands-on development expertise and technical leadership in support of enterprise mainframe applications that are critical to business operations. This role requires a seasoned professional who can drive development efforts, mentor team members, coordinate technical activities, and contribute to strategic application enhancements.

Required Qualifications of the Senior Mainframe Developer / Technical Lead:
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in application development, systems testing, application support, or related information technology functions.
  • Strong experience developing and supporting enterprise mainframe applications.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with one or more of the following technologies: COBOL, JCL, DB2, and IMS.
  • Experience analyzing business requirements and translating them into effective technical solutions.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex application and production issues.
  • Experience leading development efforts, coordinating technical tasks, or serving in a technical leadership capacity.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of quality and accountability.
Preferred Skills/Experience of the Senior Mainframe Developer / Technical Lead:
  • Experience working with CICS in enterprise mainframe environments.
  • Prior team lead, technical lead, or workstream coordination experience.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching developers.
  • Exposure to application modernization or system transformation initiatives.
  • Strong task management and project coordination capabilities.
