Position SummaryOdyssey is seeking candidates for a
Senior Logistics Manager supporting the Space Systems Command, Space Domain Awareness & Battle Management System Delta in the NCMC-ITW/AA (NORAD Cheyenne Mountain Complex Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment) System Program Office (SPO). The NCMC SPO manages the activities that provide authorities with accurate, timely, and unambiguous warning and attack assessment of air, missile, and space threats. As the Logistics Manager, you will be involved with logistics management operations involving planning, coordinating, or evaluating the actions required to support the specified mission and system components of the division.
This is a full-time position based out of the NCMC-ITW/AA SPO at Peterson Space Force Base with most work located at an off-site facility in Colorado Springs, CO. Up to a maximum 20% situational telework within the Colorado Springs area when necessary unless otherwise designated by the government customer.
ResponsibilitiesDuties include, but are not limited to:
- Apply knowledge, familiarity, and experience implementing tenets of the DoD Product Support Manager Guidebook and the 12 Integrated Product Support Elements to integrate logistics requirements into NCMC-ITW/AA logistics planning and execution.
- Work independently, within a team of six other logisticians, and as part of a collaborative integrated functional team to perform logistics management operations involving planning, coordinating, or evaluating the actions required to support the specified mission and system components of the NCMC/ITW-AA division.
- Work closely with the program's prime contracted logistics support (CLS) vendor to ensure quality and accuracy of all contracted logistics deliverables to the government and within all program mission support activities.
- Possess outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills and effectively utilize them to communicate with civilian and military personnel, leaders, and stakeholders.
- Utilize and maintain familiarity with the Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP) and its associated processes.
- Collect and analyze key manufacturer and Space Force metrics. Provide logistics analytical support for key United States Space Force (USSF) logistics metrics (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, etc.) and brief at program reviews and other stakeholder meetings as required.
- Provide expert logistics input on Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), Requests for Proposal (RFP), Statements of Work (SOW), and Performance Work Statements (PWS).
- Apply user-level experience with USAF Technical Orders (TOs) and associated technical schematics and drawings to review and to identify procedural and data discrepancies, and provide corrections prior to publication. Work closely with the Technical Order Management Agency (TOMA) to ensure TO content meets all user and management requirements.
- Apply Agile and/or Waterfall development logistics methodologies to both hardware and software acquisition/sustainment projects in a SPO setting.
- Apply knowledge of the acquisition lifecycle and product support planning, in accordance with the DoD 5000 series instructions, during each phase of acquisition. Correlate logistics requirements with program plans to assure that required support is forecast and provided at the right time and place.
- Communicate and collaborate via MS Teams, Confluence, JIRA, telephone, and other designated collaboration methods to maximize contribution, especially during telework periods.
- Apply knowledge of DoD and USAF/USSF property management, Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation (FIAR), and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) policies, processes, and procedures.
- Have proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Project.
QualificationsCitizenship: Must be a US citizen.Clearance: Must have an active Top Secret and be able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.
Education: Associate's degree or higher.
Years of Experience:- 10 years of functional experience in sustainment/acquisition logistics with at least 5 years of experience in the Defense Industry, OR
- BA/BS degree and 8 years of functional experience in sustainment/acquisition logistics, 5 of which must be in the Defense Industry.
Additional Experience (required):- Hands-on experience supporting the acquisition lifecycle, including planning, coordinating, or evaluating the actions required to support the mission and systems sustainment.
- Experience providing expert logistics input toward RFPs, SOWs, PWSs, and/or CDRLs.
Preferred Qualifications:Clearance: Active TS/SCI.
Education: Associate of Applied Science (AAS), Bachelor of Science (BS), or Master of Science (MS) degree.
Additional Experience: - Experience directly supporting a NCMC/ITW-AA, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and/or Command and Control (C2) Systems SPO.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:Location: Peterson Space Force Base and Contractor Facility - Colorado Springs, CO.
Hybrid/Telework: Situational telework opportunities (maximum 20% telecommute / 80% in-person at Peterson SFB and contractor locations). Subject to change per customer discretion.
Travel: Approximately 10% travel required.
