Position Overview
Join us in our fast-paced support to the Space Development Agency (SDA). Recognized as the Department of Defense's constructive disruptor for space acquisition, SDA delivers space-based capabilities to the joint warfighter to support terrestrial missions through development, fielding, and operation of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture. SDA capitalizes on a unique business model that values speed and lowers costs by harnessing commercial development to achieve a proliferated architecture and enhance resilience. We are seeking a Senior Logistics Management Specialist to support SDA’s mission. The Senior Logistics Management Specialist professional is a critical position responsible for providing comprehensive oversight and accountability of all property assets appropriate for, or utilized by, the SDA. Responsibilities include:
Responsibilities
- Ensure that accountable property assets belonging to SDA are discovered and recorded in the appropriate Accountable Property System of Record: (a) Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS) for SDA General Equipment assets, and (b) Reliability and Maintainabilty Information System (REMIS) for all SDA Weapon System assets (e.g. satellites).
- Ensure all property asset lifecycle events (i.e., acquisitions, transfers, loans, inventories, disposals, etc.) are accurately recorded in the appropriate APSR, with all Key Supporting Documents (KSDs), and within mandatory DoW and SDA timelines.
- Reconcile physicI al inventory records and assist the SDA Accountable Property Officer with any required Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPL) preparation, investigation, and processing.
- Ensure that all accountable property forms and other written records are files in accordance with DoW and SDA requirements.
- Coordinate/facilitate oversight of accountable property assets belonging to SDA ‘mission partners’ (e.g., DISA Joint Service Provider, USAF Communications Squadrons, etc.) and utilized by SDA.
- Coordinate/facilitate requirement recommendations between SDA and ‘mission partner stakeholders regarding project justifications, scope of work, cost estimates, work phasing, and mission operations.
- Support the SDA Accountable Property Officer (APO) with research, development, drafting, and implementation of Agency logistics policies, programs, procedures, and documentation (e.g., regulations, SOPs, checklists, etc.) regarding the Agency’s accountable property systems of record (APSRs), material management, transportation and GSA leased vehicle fleet operations, Internal Use Software (IUS) accountability, real property accountability, etc.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess an active Secret clearance, with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance. #qinetiqclearedjob
- Strong technical knowledge (≥ 3 years) of DoW property accountability requirements and property asset management procedures.
- Strong technical knowledge of the Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS) – formerly Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS).
- Previous ELMS/DPAS hands-on technical experience (≥ 2 years) as either an (a) Accountable Property Officer (APO), (b) a Deputy APO, or (c) Property Administrator.
- Proven ability to author clear and concise technical documentation, (e.g., regulations, manuals, SOPs, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working ‘property accountability’ in a Defense Agency, Military Branch (USSF, USAF, USA, USN, USMC).
- PMP certification or PM ‘hands on’ experience.
- Familiarity with SDA's mission, the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA), and supporting ground systems.
- Demonstrated ability to ‘multi-task’, and ‘think outside the box’ to solve problems.
Pay Transparency
The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $160,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
