Description

The Senior Logistics and Procurement Specialist is responsible for analyzing processes and recommending and implementing improvements to the supply chain process. Key focus is on sourcing, procurement, and logistics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description - other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed.
  • Manage MRO purchasing, develop vendor relationships, analyze and implement cost savings.
  • Initiate building and operations capital projects, obtain competitive quotes, participate in project oversight.
  • Oversee the accuracy of purchase order account and cost center coding. Manage spending and keep within budget.
  • Coordinate supplier audits, assist in cost and quality discussions. Other supplier responsibilities as assigned.
  • Perform functions as part of the ocean transportation and domestic freight team, including negotiations, rate analysis, Customs clearance, and booking and tracking shipments.
  • Coordinate inventory transactions between key Tsubaki companies.
  • Visit/audit suppliers and production plants as requested.
  • Other tasks/functions and special projects as assigned.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 8 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, and logistics
  • ASCM Certification preferred.
  • Self-motivated to learn with a desire and talent to advance professionally.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with an ability to handle a multitude of tasks
  • Strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills.
  • High standards of integrity required.
  • Willing to travel as needed.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • ERP experience required. QAD experience is a major plus.
