  • Ensure efficient receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping processes
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and carriers
  • Drive improvements in productivity, accuracy, and service levels
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels and accuracy across all distribution locations
  • Partner with planning and procurement teams to align supply and demand
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve overall operational efficiency

Position Purpose:

The Distribution Director is responsible for leading and optimizing all distribution and logistics operations, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery of products to customers and partners. This role oversees warehouse operations, transportation, inventory management, and distribution strategy while driving continuous improvement, service excellence, and operational scalability.

Duties, Tasks, and Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy:
  • Develop and execute the overall distribution strategy aligned with business objectives
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing distribution and logistics team
  • Establish performance metrics (KPIs) and drive accountability across operations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, and Finance


Operations Management:
  • Oversee daily operations across distribution centers, warehouses, and transportation networks
  • Ensure efficient receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping processes
  • Drive improvements in productivity, accuracy, and service levels

Inventory & Supply Chain Optimization:
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels and accuracy across all distribution locations

Financial Oversight:
  • Develop and manage the distribution budget, including labor, transportation, and facility costs
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve overall operational efficiency
  • Analyze financial and operational data to guide decision-making


Process Improvement & Technology:
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Drive adoption and optimization of warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and automation technologies
  • Enhance data visibility, reporting, and analytics capabilities


Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements
  • Maintain a strong culture of workplace safety and risk management
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures for operational consistency

Education, Skills and Abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field required; Master's degree preferred
