Discover your exciting roleThe Senior Lead I&C Engineer participates in a team environment consisting of engineers and designers to produce construction documents for the following systems: Instrumentation and Controls, telecommunications, fire alarm, and security.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities- Performs the engineering tasks for the design of technology systems for high technology facilities including cleanrooms, general manufacturing/process facilities and institutional
- Assists in providing specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise
- Coordinates with the project team and other disciplines as well as other design offices
- Develops the conceptual design, preliminary design and final design documents which would include the development of technology schematic diagrams, technology equipment layout, cable routing, details, and the like
- Assists in providing specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise
- Coordinates with disciplines in the preparation and development of the deliverables and ensuring those other disciplines' inputs are incorporated
- Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise
- Assists in developing studies and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by discipline team
- Works to build and maintain positive and productive working relationships both internal and external
- Ability to mentor and train junior staff
- Other duties as assigned
Show your expertiseMinimum Required- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required
- Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred
- Nation Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) Record preferred
- 8+ years of experience
Preferred- Prior experience in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
- Prior experience as a consulting engineer preferred
- Prior experience with Advanced Technology
- Experience working within a team environment
- Experience in the quality control review process
- Experience contributing to continuous improvement processes
Specific Skills & Knowledge- General knowledge of codes and common industry standards related to the design of industrial and manufacturing facilities and systems
- Good time management skills, strong work ethic and attention to details
- Proficient in the use of Autodesk Building Systems Software
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Individual must possess strong communication and organizational skills
- Strong team player with an ability to build effective working relationships
- Energetic and self-motivated
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
