Named a Time 100 Most Influential Company and Fast Company Brand That Matters, Lime continues to set the pace for shared micromobility globally.

We are hiring a Senior Regional Lead, Government Relations to join Lime's global Policy & Communications team and lead our government relations strategy across the US Midwest. In this role, you'll partner directly with local operations teams to protect and grow Lime's presence in key Midwestern cities and states, build relationships with civic and community stakeholders, and advance policies that enable safe, sustainable, and equitable transportation.

You'll drive strategies to secure and expand city agreements, navigate complex political environments, and serve as a public-facing voice of Lime with decision-makers, community leaders, and the media. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of regional and local politics, comfort working independently across multiple markets, and a track record of influence, execution, and collaboration.

This is a remote position based in one of our key Midwest markets and reports to the Regional Head, Government & Community Relations, US Central, based in Chicago. You must be located in one of the following states: Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, or Wisconsin.

What You'll Do:
  • Build and lead strategic relationships with city and state officials, departments of transportation, community-based organizations, and other key stakeholders across the Midwest.
  • Advance local policy agendas that support micromobility growth, equity, and climate goals, while navigating regulatory risks and securing Lime's long-term market presence.
  • Represent Lime in public settings including city council meetings/hearings, community events, and media interviews to champion our mission and advocate for smart, urban transportation policy.
  • Partner with cross-functional partners in operations, policy, and the campaigns teams to align public affairs strategies with on-the-ground priorities and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to execute safety campaigns, educational events, and local partnerships that establish and build public trust and visibility for Lime's brand.
  • Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory activity across multiple Midwest cities; develop and implement swift responses in coordination with cross-functional partners.
  • Manage external consultants and lobbying teams as needed, establishing goals and ensuring accountability across markets.

About You:
  • Fluency in English and ability to speak in public and to the media are required.
  • At least five (5) years related experience leading or working in government affairs, public policy, campaigns, and/or community development in a government-related environment.
  • A minimum of three (3) years working directly with municipal and/or state government, advocacy organizations, campaigns, or public policy in the Midwest.
  • A multi-tasker comfortable working on multiple priorities at once while executing projects in a demanding environment.
  • An analytical and strategic mindset with the ability to drive the company toward high-impact initiatives and efficient growth.
  • Availability to travel as needed.
  • Previous professional experience in transportation and mobility would be beneficial.
  • You bring a track record of influencing policy outcomes, managing complex cross-market projects, and operating independently in dynamic environments.
