This role will serve as a senior technical authority for enterprise integration across SAP S/4HANA and a diverse non-SAP application landscape, including CRM, PLM, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, planning, data, and customer-facing platforms.
The successful candidate will combine deep architecture expertise with program-level delivery leadership. The role will define integration strategy and standards, lead complex cross-domain solution decisions, govern partner delivery, and ensure integrations are secure, scalable, supportable, observable, and aligned to end-to-end business process outcomes.
Essential Responsibilities:- Govern systems integrators and delivery partners by reviewing solution proposals, estimates, technical designs, development quality, test evidence, and operational documentation; challenge unnecessary complexity and prevent vendor or platform lock-in.
- Own the enterprise integration delivery for Phoenix R6 across application-to-application, business-to-business, API, event, file, and data integration patterns.
- Serve as senior design authority for integrations spanning SAP S/4HANA, non-SAP enterprise applications, cloud platforms and external business partners.
- Define target-state integration principles, reference patterns, platform usage guidance, interface standards, non-functional requirements, and architecture guardrails across SAP CPI, PI/PO, Boomi, Apigee, and related middleware capabilities.
- Lead architecture and design reviews for high-risk or cross-functional integrations, resolving design conflicts and ensuring decisions support business process continuity, operational resilience, and long-term maintainability.
- Partner with process, application, data, security, infrastructure, enterprise architecture, and program leaders to translate R6 business outcomes into executable integration roadmaps and designs.
- Provide technical leadership across interface discovery, inventory rationalization, dependency mapping, build readiness, test strategy, cutover planning, dress rehearsals, production deployment, and stabilization.
- Ensure GlobalFoundries retains critical design knowledge through clear architecture decisions, interface documentation, reusable assets, transition plans, and effective knowledge transfer from delivery partners.
- Drive business-process-centric monitoring and observability, including correlation, alerting, exception management, retry and recovery patterns, auditability, dashboards, and support handoffs for critical end-to-end flows.
- Own integration risk and issue escalation, identify cross-track impacts early, and communicate options, trade-offs, decisions, and required actions to technical and program leadership.
- Mentor integration architects, leads, developers, and partner teams; raise engineering standards and promote reuse, automation, and consistent delivery practices across regions.
- Collaborate across United States, Europe, and Asia time zones and represent integration topics in architecture forums, program governance, and executive-level discussions as required.
Other Responsibilities: - Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
Required Qualifications:- 12+ years of enterprise IT delivery experience, including significant leadership responsibility for complex application integration, architecture and transformation programs.
- Demonstrated experience leading integration workstreams for SAP S/4HANA or comparable enterprise-scale ERP transformations across multiple business processes and application domains.
- Deep practical knowledge of application-to-application and business-to-business integration across heterogeneous enterprise platforms.
- Strong architecture and implementation experience with Boomi & SAP CPI.
- Strong experience with API-led integration and API management, preferably using Apigee or a comparable enterprise API gateway and management platform.
- Expert understanding of synchronous APIs, asynchronous messaging, IDoc, OData, REST, SOAP, flat files, queues, events, batch processing, canonical models, orchestration, error handling, and integration security patterns.
- Experience integrating SAP with non-SAP applications such as CRM, PLM, MES, factory automation, WMS, planning, procurement, finance, quality, data platforms, or customer-facing systems.
- Ability to create, review, and approve architecture decisions, interface specifications, technical designs, mappings, sequence flows, security models, operational models, and support documentation.
- Experience directing systems integrators and distributed engineering teams through the complete delivery lifecycle, including estimation, design, build, testing, cutover, stabilization, and transition to operations.
- Strong knowledge of authentication, authorization, certificate lifecycle, encryption, secrets management, network controls, privacy, compliance, logging, monitoring, and auditability for enterprise integrations.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience working in semiconductor foundry, fab, fabless semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, or high-tech manufacturing organizations.
- Experience integrating SAP S/4HANA with Teamcenter, MES, factory automation, planning, quality, or engineering systems.
- Experience working with distributed teams and vendor delivery partners across multiple regions.
