Senior Java/Kotlin/AI Software Engineer

**Job Title: Senior Java/Kotlin Software Engineer** **Location:** Phoenix, Florida **Job Description:** We are seeking a Senior Java/Kotlin Software Engineer to join our team. The Payments Platform is responsible for clearing a significant volume of transactions globally, presenting numerous engineering challenges and opportunities for innovation. As a developer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of software from inception to production, working on a mixture of green- and brown-field projects, while learning from and contributing to your peer group. **Responsibilities:** - Deliver software solutions from inception to production. - Work on a variety of projects, both new and existing. - Collaborate with team members to enhance the technical landscape. **Qualifications:** - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience. - Expertise in Push Payments. - 5+ years of software development experience with strong knowledge in Java, REST APIs, and exposure to alternate JVM languages such as Kotlin and Clojure. **Technical Skills:** - Proficient in programming languages: Java, Kotlin, Python, Scala, Node.js, Golang, JavaScript, C++, C#. - Familiarity with AI models and experience using AI tools such as Copilot and Codex. - Experience in writing Architectural Decision Records (ADRs). - Database knowledge: MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Postgres. - Container orchestration: Kubernetes, GKE, Docker. - CI/CD tools: Jenkins, SonarQube. - Cloud services: Big Query, DataPro, Dataflow, Cloud SQL, Cloud Composer, AWS EMR. - Familiarity with version control systems: Git, Gitflow, Jira, Bitbucket, Gitlab, Trello, Scrum. **Additional Skills (a plus):** - In-depth knowledge of web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, C#, SASS, and LESS. - Strong proficiency in React tools including Enzyme, Webpack, Redux, and Flux. - Proven expertise in web frameworks like React Native, AngularJS, Angular2, VueJS, and Bootstrap. - Experience with open-source libraries such as jQuery and MomentJS. - Knowledge of software testing tools including Mocha, Jest, and Selenium. - Familiarity with various databases and cloud management platforms. **Key Attributes:** - Creativity and problem-solving skills. - Adaptability and flexibility. - A strong aptitude for technology, curiosity, and a passion for innovation.
