#LI-DNI Responsibilities - Design and implement high-performance, multithreaded Java applications for concurrent processing
- Develop and maintain scalable backend systems using Java (e.g., Spring/Spring Boot)
- Identify and resolve concurrency issues such as race conditions, deadlocks, and memory leaks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and efficient business solutions
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code; participate in code reviews and architecture discussions
- Optimize application performance through profiling, benchmarking, and fine-tuning multithreaded components
Requirements - Strong knowledge of Core Java features: Multithreading, class loading, garbage collection, Java Collections API, Concurrent programming, Reflections API, Java Streams
- Experience working with Spring MVC framework, Spring boot, Rest API, JSON
- Deep understanding of Computer Science related Principles, Data Structures, and Algorithms
- Ability to work both independently and closely with other team members
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Experience with standard DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, JIRA
Nice to have - Hands on with Event Streaming Platforms such as Kafka
- Hands on with MongoDB from an application developer perspective
- Experience with transition from on-premises technologies to Cloud

This posting includes a base salary range EPAM Canada would reasonably expect to pay the selected candidate.
