Full Job Description
Summary

The Senior Portfolio Manager advances this mission by providing portfolio-level execution oversight across Invessio's software initiatives. The role creates a single, reliable view of priorities, roadmaps, timelines, dependencies, capacity, delivery risk, and cross-team commitments so leadership can make informed decisions and teams can execute against shared objectives. By coordinating Product, Engineering, QA, UX/UI, Support, Operations, vendors, and offshore teams without replacing functional ownership, the Senior Portfolio Manager helps reduce execution gaps, improve predictability, and ensure the company's interconnected products are delivered with the visibility and discipline required in a fintech environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain a consolidated portfolio view of active and planned software initiatives, including scope, objectives, priorities, roadmaps, major milestones, dependencies, and delivery status.
  • Own portfolio-level planning and reporting processes that provide leadership with accurate, fact-based visibility into execution, capacity, risk, and competing priorities.
  • Track project and program timelines, milestones, dependencies, decisions, risks, issues, and action items; identify when initiatives are off-track and escalate material impacts early.
  • Coordinate cross-functional dependencies across Product, Engineering, QA, UX/UI, Support, Operations, Security, vendors, and offshore teams without overriding functional or technical ownership.
  • Establish and maintain consistent portfolio governance, planning standards, status reporting, risk management, decision tracking, and communication rhythms across initiatives.
  • Facilitate portfolio and program reviews that drive clear decisions, ownership, follow-through, and alignment across teams and leadership.
  • Identify portfolio-level resource, sequencing, capacity, and dependency conflicts and present options, impacts, and trade-offs to leadership for resolution.
  • Maintain accurate execution artifacts, including portfolio plans, roadmaps, dashboards, RAID logs, milestone tracking, executive status reports, and other governance documentation.
  • Coordinate onshore, offshore, and vendor delivery expectations to ensure timelines, dependencies, communication standards, and commitments are visible and aligned.
  • Partner with operational and functional leaders to ensure decisions and actions from portfolio-level reviews are translated into accountable execution and tracked through completion.
  • Support release and launch readiness by ensuring cross-team dependencies, operational impacts, risks, support needs, and outstanding decisions are visible before major milestones.
  • Identify systemic execution risks and process gaps across the portfolio and recommend improvements that increase predictability, transparency, accountability, and delivery effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership with a trusted portfolio view that reduces ambiguity, prevents avoidable surprises, and supports informed prioritization and investment decisions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Project Management, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in portfolio management, program management, project management, technology operations, or software delivery, including experience overseeing multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Experience working in fintech, financial services, banking, lending, investment technology, SaaS, or another regulated or operationally complex technology environment strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing enterprise software portfolios involving Product, Engineering, QA, UX/UI, Operations, Support, Security, and third-party or offshore delivery teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of portfolio and program management practices, including roadmapping, dependency management, RAID management, capacity planning, milestone tracking, governance, and executive reporting.
  • Experience establishing or improving portfolio governance, delivery frameworks, reporting standards, and cross-functional operating rhythms.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex dependencies, competing priorities, delivery risks, resource constraints, and business impacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate detailed project and technical information into concise, decision-oriented reporting for executives and business stakeholders.
  • Experience with Agile and hybrid software-delivery environments and common project, portfolio, collaboration, and reporting tools.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to drive alignment across teams without direct authority.
  • PMP, PgMP, PfMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or comparable portfolio/program management certification preferred but not required.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment with multiple products, evolving priorities, distributed teams, and significant cross-functional dependencies.
