Responsibilities

Full Job Description
We9re currently looking for a Senior Interior Designer to support the delivery of complex, large-scale projects in the aviation and transit sector. This role offers the opportunity to guide projects from planning through completion, build trusted client relationships, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a studio culture that values design excellence, sustainability, and people.

How you9ll make a difference:

  • Communicate and coordinate required design, project and firm information to both internal and external parties as required
  • Prepare and coordinate project schematic/conceptual design drawings
  • Prepare layouts, sketches, and space plans required to convey design intent
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the project team
  • Execute knowledge in project management, budgets, schedules, and architectural standards
  • Coordinate and/or undertake the preparation of required project documents, minutes, schedules, and specifications
  • Apply building code and construction regulations
  • Coordinate electrical, mechanical, structural, and other consultants or vendors
  • Coordinate and/or undertake the selection and specification of furniture, finishes, equipment, and accessories; and preparation of FF+E documentation
  • Lead site visits and field reviews and undertake site deficiency review and installation inspections


Who you are:

  • Bachelor9s degree in Interior Design or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in Interior Design consulting with strong knowledge, creativity, and experience of the design process
  • Experience and passion for working on conceptual and innovative projects in the aviation or transit sector is a requirement
  • NCIDQ certified is an asset
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Revit, Navisworks, Photoshop and InDesign (Sketch-up, Rhino experience an asset)
  • Proven experience in participating in client engagement processes from programming and conceptual design through to construction phases
  • Excellent communication skills, team oriented, accountable, and highly motivated
  • Effective coordinator with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements
  • Experience leading a multidisciplinary team, establishing deliverables, schedules, time and fee management
  • A design enthusiast, where youcantranslate concepts into uniquely experiential and functional design solutions


$90,000 - $110,000 a year
