Job Summary

Newmark is seeking a highly experienced Senior Industrial Manufacturing Leader SME to support and grow strategic client relationships within Newmark's industrial manufacturing portfolio.

This role will provide senior operational leadership and subject matter expertise across complex industrial manufacturing environments, with a particular focus on chemical, petrochemical, refining, and similarly regulated industries. The position will complement existing Account Directors and account teams by providing deep industry expertise, operational leadership, and best practices that enhance client outcomes and support account growth.

The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and Newmark account teams while helping build Newmark's broader industrial manufacturing capabilities through playbooks, operating standards, talent development, industry relationships, and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior Industrial Manufacturing FM Subject Matter Expert (SME) across strategic client relationships.
  • Provide operational leadership and expertise across facilities management, maintenance, engineering, reliability, asset management, and critical infrastructure.
  • Partner with Account Directors and account teams to strengthen client relationships, improve service delivery, and support account retention and growth.
  • Establish trusted relationships with client operations, engineering, facilities, plant, procurement, and senior leadership stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain industrial manufacturing FM playbooks, operating standards, processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Develop repeatable approaches for maintenance, reliability, asset management, operational readiness, EHS, and service delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational performance, asset reliability, productivity, service quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Support operational assessments, transitions, implementations, client initiatives, and new business pursuits.
  • Participate in executive business reviews, operational reviews, strategic planning, and client presentations.
  • Bring industry benchmarking, emerging trends, and external best practices to Newmark's clients and account teams.
  • Identify opportunities to expand Newmark's FM capabilities and services across strategic client portfolios.
  • Build and maintain a network of industrial manufacturing, facilities management, engineering, reliability, and operations talent.
  • Develop relationships with industry leaders, professional organizations, technical experts, and potential candidates.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and account leadership to identify, attract, and recruit high-caliber industrial manufacturing talent.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of future industrial manufacturing leaders and subject matter experts.
  • Mentor and develop Newmark operational leaders and account teams.
  • Share industry knowledge, lessons learned, and best practices across Newmark's broader Facilities Management organization.
  • Support financial and operational performance, including budgets, forecasting, productivity, and cost management.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, operational excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Operations, Business, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field is a plus.


Professional Certifications
  • CFM (Certified Facility Manager), FMP (Facility Management Professional), or SFP (Sustainability Facility Professional) through IFMA preferred.
  • CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) preferred for candidates with a maintenance and reliability background.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
  • Relevant OSHA, EHS, safety, engineering, or industrial operations certifications are a plus.


Experience
  • 10-15+ years of progressive leadership experience in industrial manufacturing, facilities management, engineering, operations, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex facilities management, engineering, maintenance, reliability, or industrial operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement operating standards, playbooks, processes, and scalable best practices.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, reliability-centered maintenance, or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
  • Experience operating within highly regulated environments and working with EHS, process safety, reliability, and asset management programs strongly preferred.

Working Conditions

The position will be based in Houston / Freeport, Texas, with regular presence at client facilities and travel across strategic client portfolios as required.

The role may require work within active industrial and manufacturing environments and adherence to client-specific safety, security, EHS, and access requirements.
