Full Job Description
Eaton's Power Distribution and Control Assemblies (PDCA) Division is currently seeking a Senior HR Generalist for our growing Omaha, NE manufacturing facility. Relocation assistance is available.

Our Omaha Power Center is expanding its operations in Bellevue! Eaton's new 370,000-square-foot facility is expected to be online in the first half of 2027. The new facility will be designed and optimized to support high volume of switchgear structures at the quality and speed that AI data centers customers require. The engineered-to-order switchgear produced in the new facility can be integrated into Eaton's prefabricated power systems, which are designed to offer customers flexibility.

Reporting to the site HR Manager, the Senior HR Generalist is responsible for planning, developing, and administering a variety of HR programs for the site including employment, wage and salary administration, employee communications, employee training and staff development, benefits and other related human resources activities; coordinate & monitor activities to ensure compliance of programs with applicable state & federal laws, regulation & guidelines; as well as, conforming with Eaton corporate human resources management policies and practices.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Talent Management: Partner with Operations and functional groups to develop strategy to attract and retain required staffing to meet current and future business needs. Understand the business environment and plans (competitors, growth, technology, etc.) for talent needs. Lead candidate experience and guides Hiring Manager from pre-hire to onboarding to ensure a smooth process. Assist in the oversight and creation of site training plans that incorporate various learning best practices to improve employee retention and time to productive metrics.


  • Employee Relations: Serve as a key point of contact for employees to connect with the human resources department ensuring prompt and effective resolutions while promoting Eaton values. Maintain all aspects of a strong and positive environment in supporting various employee relations activities inclusive of coaching/mentoring supervisors and frontline employees, conducting site investigations, and resolving interpersonal conflicts. Lead and support employee engagement activities, including site events, recognition programs, team building activities, and All Employee Meetings.


  • Total Compensation: Serve as local subject matter expert for employee benefits and payroll questions, coordinating with remote centralized HR service center and payroll teams as necessary, and coordinates benefits enrollment meetings, communications, and processes. Assist site HR Manager with local compensation for both salaried and hourly workforce, including benchmarking within Eaton & external marketplace data.


  • Projects and Analytics: Assist on special projects as needed, including support of ongoing continuous improvement framework; data audits. Analyze workforce trends, labor market trends, and provide insights to support business decisions. Foster a Zero Incident Safety Culture by participating in safety and operations audits. Utilize MESH to ensure compliance with state/federal safety requirements and drive "zero incidents" safety culture.


Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 1-2 years of Human Resources Generalist experience

Preferred Qualifications:

The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
