Position Overview

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Human Resources function across the Southeast Region. This includes fostering a positive employee experience, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and collaborating with key HR functions and business leaders.

This role partners closely with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and Benefits to support onboarding, employee development, retention, and engagement. While the primary focus is the Southeast sub-region, the HRBP will also contribute to initiatives across the East Coast and North American Metals HR teams, promoting consistency and alignment across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a strategic partner to management on HR-related matters, ensuring alignment with company policies and objectives.
  • Lead and manage core HR programs, including:
    • Compensation, benefits, and leave administration
    • Employee relations and conflict resolution
    • Disciplinary actions, investigations, and performance management
    • Talent development, recognition, and engagement
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on recruitment and onboarding of exempt, nonexempt, and temporary employees.
  • Coordinate and deliver HR training programs, including sessions on legal compliance and company policies.
  • Participate in setting departmental goals and support strategic HR initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, organizational charts, and reports. Attend relevant staff meetings and seminars.
  • Analyze HR metrics and recommend improvements to enhance departmental efficiency and employee experience.
  • Coach and advise managers on performance and disciplinary issues. Attend and support disciplinary meetings and terminations.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and best practices; review and update policies as needed.
  • Conduct thorough and unbiased investigations into employee complaints or concerns.
  • Support and participate in community outreach events.
  • Stay current on HR trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in employment law and talent management.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Language: Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
