We're seeking a Senior HR Business Partner, to grow our culture of innovation and scale our award-winning team. As an integral member of this global team, you will assess, coach, and influence our talent and people leaders while modeling our values with integrity and optimism. This role is expected to come into the San Francisco office 2 days per week as part of PagerDuty's hybrid work model, so you can thrive in your new role and fully embrace being a Dutonian!
Key Responsibilities

Client Leadership Support (40%)
  • Partnering with Management teams to execute HR Programs and initiatives and drive employee engagement and retention
  • Assessing organizational health and effectiveness on a regular basis and identify opportunities to drive improvements and efficiencies
  • Utilizing people metrics to drive key insights/decisions around growth and retention to help support the leadership teams
  • Collaborating with the leadership and managers on organizational change initiatives, people/performance decisions, actions, talent management development, employee engagement, communication, and program rollouts
  • Lead coaching and feedback efforts and make recommendations based on a combination of past experiences and in-depth knowledge.
  • Partnering with other departments and teams in the organization in order to solidify open communication, consistent collaboration and effective workflow for all operations/strategic purposes

AI-Driven HRBP Transformation (20%)
  • Drive AI Adoption: Support the evaluation, piloting, and deployment of AI/ML tools for the People org, that will automate high-volume HRBP activities, such as performance cycle summary generation and organizational health assessments.
  • Process Optimization: Proactively review and document HRBP workflows, identifying high-friction processes, design and document scalable, AI-augmented solutions to maximize efficiency and reduce administrative burden.
  • Strategic People Analytics: Collaborate with our analytics team to leverage advanced people metrics and analysis to generate actionable insights on talent growth, retention, and organizational effectiveness for senior leadership decision-making.

Global Employee Relations and Program Execution (20%)
  • Partnering closely with US-based HR teams, lead complex employee relations cases including workplace investigations, and conflict resolution while ensuring compliance with global employment laws and company policies.
  • Collaborate with People Team specialists, HRBPs and people managers to successfully execute core HR programs (e.g., performance management, compensation planning) that enhance employee engagement and retention.
  • Establish robust cross-functional relationships to ensure consistent communication, effective collaboration, legal compliance and alignment on operational and strategic HR goals.
  • Support international mobility and cross-border employment matters, as needed
About You

  • You possess solid business acumen and strong program/project management skills.
  • You have the ability to prioritise among competing priorities and are highly detail-oriented.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors of Business, Human Resources or other relevant degree,
  • 3+ years of related experience in Human Resources organization, preferably in SaaS or hi-tech industry
  • Minimum of 2 years previous experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist supporting employees and people managers across technical, customer-facing, and corporate roles.
  • Proven track record of managing complex global employee relations cases and supporting organizational programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to drive HR process efficiency.

The base salary range for this position is 110,000 - 166,100 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and/or benefits.

Our base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range, which is subject to change based on primary work location, reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we expect to pay newly hired employees for the position. Within the range, we determine pay for an individual based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills/competencies and experience.
