The Opportunity

We're evolving how we deliver People & Culture and building a stronger business partnering model to support our next chapter of growth. As our first Senior HR Business Partner, you'll play a foundational role in shaping how strategic people partnership shows up across the business.

This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of people and business strategy. You'll partner closely with senior leaders to solve real organizational challenges, elevate leadership capability, strengthen performance, and help scale a high-performing culture.

You won't be stepping into a fully built function; you'll help define it. We're looking for someone with the credibility, judgment, and drive to build something meaningful and lasting.

What You'll Own

Strategic Leadership Partnership
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on all people, team, and organizational matters
  • Translate business priorities into thoughtful, practical people strategies
  • Coach leaders to strengthen performance, leadership effectiveness, and accountability
  • Anticipate talent risks, succession gaps, and capability needs before they become issues
  • Bring perspective and challenge where needed to raise the leadership bar

Build & Scale the HRBP Function
  • Help design and establish a modern HRBP model at Isaac
  • Create scalable frameworks, tools, and rhythms for high-quality business partnering
  • Set the standard for what strong HRBP support looks like across the company
  • Partner with HR Operations to ensure strategy translates into seamless execution
  • Over time, support development of more junior HRBP capability as the team grows

Talent, Performance & Leadership Development
  • Drive clarity, consistency, and rigor in performance management
  • Drive proactive talent conversations
  • Support succession planning and leadership development
  • Identify high-impact interventions to improve performance

Organizational Effectiveness & Change
  • Support leaders in designing effective team structures aligned to business goals
  • Diagnose team and leadership challenges and implement practical solutions
  • Support leaders through periods of ambiguity, transformation, and scale

Employee Relations (Senior / Sensitive Matters)
  • Lead complex employee relations matters with integrity and sound judgment
  • Balance legal, people, and business considerations thoughtfully
  • Coach leaders to manage issues proactively and confidently
  • Ensure a fair, high-integrity employee experience in difficult moments

What You Bring
  • 8-12+ years of progressive HR experience, including strong business partnering exposure
  • Proven ability to influence and challenge senior leaders
  • Experience building or shaping HR approaches, not just executing existing ones
  • Strong business acumen - you connect people strategy to business outcomes
  • Confidence operating in ambiguity and creating structure where none exists
  • Sound judgment in complex or sensitive situations
  • Ability to move seamlessly between strategy and execution

What Sets You Apart
  • You don't wait for a playbook, you build it
  • You bring a point of view, not just options
  • You balance being challenging and supportive with leaders
  • You simplify complexity into clear, actionable direction
  • You care about building something that scales and lasts

Why Work for Us
  • You can enjoy 25 days paid vacation
  • You'll do meaningful work that makes a strong impact for our clients
  • You'll have the opportunity for rapid learning and career growth through our training and development programs
  • You'll work with amazing people who genuinely enjoy spending time together
  • You'll get to partake in fun, company-sponsored activities and trips
  • You'll have a strong work-life balance - no working on weekends
  • We offer a comprehensive benefits package fully covered by Isaac
  • We've been recognized as a top workplace in Canada, #1 (2022), #2 (100-999 employees), Top 10 for 8 of the last 9 yearsby Great Place to Work, and recently named one of Canada's Most Admired Corporate Cultures by Waterstone Human Capital
