A global technology organization in the aerospace and defense industry is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to support international teams and help align people strategy with business objectives across multiple regions. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a senior HR professional with strong global HR experience, excellent employee relations judgment, and the ability to influence leaders in a complex, fast-moving environment.
As the Senior HR Business Partner, you will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees while supporting performance management, organizational change, talent development, compensation planning, and culture-building initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to work with collaborative teams, support highly technical business groups, and contribute to meaningful HR programs in a stable, mission-driven environment with strong leadership and long-term career potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders and employees across multiple international regions to align HR strategy with business goals and local employment practices.
- Advise managers on employee relations, performance management, coaching, conflict resolution, progressive documentation, and organizational change.
- Lead or support global HR initiatives, including policy development, change management, leadership development, talent programs, and culture-building efforts.
- Facilitate talent development sessions and HR training programs related to performance management, review processes, and leadership development.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and business leaders on interviewing, candidate selection, salary analysis, and equitable offer recommendations.
- Manage annual merit, bonus, and out-of-cycle compensation processes while using HR data, exit interview insights, and Excel reporting to identify trends and recommend solutions.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation: $85,000 to $148,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Job Type: Direct hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Serve as a strategic HR Business Partner for international business groups across multiple countries and regions.
- Lead HR initiatives related to performance management, employee relations, compensation planning, organizational change, and talent development.
- Support leaders with complex employee situations while balancing business needs, cultural nuance, and employment law considerations.
- Analyze HR and business data to identify trends, present insights, and recommend practical workforce solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Training, or a related field, or equivalent HR certification and experience.
- 10 or more years of progressive HR experience in a corporate environment.
- Demonstrated experience supporting global HR initiatives across multiple countries or regions, including international labor law compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Federal and California employment law, along with international employment practices and regulations.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts, and data analysis.
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership.
- Excellent interpersonal, coaching, influencing, and conflict resolution skills across all organizational levels.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and manage sensitive employee and business information.
- Ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects independently in a global, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or a comparable international HR credential.
- Experience supporting HR programs in aerospace, defense, advanced technology, engineering, manufacturing, or another highly regulated industry.
- Experience with international compensation practices, global mobility, or cross-border workforce planning.
- Prior experience developing and delivering leadership development or HR training programs.
