As a Senior Group Insurance Pricing Advisor for groups and businesses, you help develop, improve and monitor pricing strategies for products and services to support business growth and maximize profitability for Desjardins Group. You lead practitioners on development projects and innovative, complex strategic initiatives. Your initiatives require extensive, in-depth knowledge of your specialty area. You make recommendations on the development and execution of projects and initiatives with a high degree of operational and conceptual complexity. You use your analytical skills and comprehensive, detailed understanding of your line of business and the organization. Coordination is critical. You interact with many stakeholders working in a wide range of fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. You serve as a specialist advisor and subject matter expert. You're also a resource person and coach for decision-making bodies. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Set renewal rates, including analyzing claims experience and market trends, explaining and supporting renewal decisions, and recommending pricing for additional coverage options.
- Respond to client inquiries about pricing and plan performance.
- Set pricing for new group insurance contracts and answer financial questions related to requests for specifications.
- Review financial statements for group financial arrangements in line with contractual agreements.
- Draft and update financial agreements.
- Ensure pricing targets are met in terms of growth and profitability.
- Work closely on an ongoing basis with the internal business development team and other internal teams, such as case management and group administration.

What you bring to the table- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, finance or actuarial science
- At least six years of experience in group insurance pricing
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Advanced intermediate level proficiency in English and French, both written and spoken, due to the nature of the duties or work tools, or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members or clients
