OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Principal Full Stack Developer to join a highly skilled software development team supporting mission-critical and high-visibility applications.
The team develops innovative software supporting the Sponsor's Entitlement Programs, Identity and Access Management (IdAM/ICAM), Authentication, Authorization, Attributes, and Digital Policy Management initiatives.
The Full Stack Developer will design, develop, modernize, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications used by a broad customer base. This position requires extensive software engineering experience across frontend, backend, database, and cloud technologies, with particular emphasis on modern web development using Vue.js or React.
What will you do?- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack enterprise applications.
- Develop modern frontend applications using Vue.js and/or React.
- Develop backend applications and services using technologies such as Java, JavaScript, and Python.
- Design and maintain database architectures supporting enterprise applications.
- Design, develop, and maintain applications within cloud environments.
- Support both new cloud-native application development and the modernization/migration of legacy applications to the cloud.
- Develop unit, integration, and functional testing strategies and test plans.
- Write and maintain automated and manual tests to validate application functionality.
- Provide operations and maintenance support for production systems.
- Modify and enhance existing software to correct defects, improve performance, support new hardware, or address evolving customer requirements.
- Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine technical feasibility and appropriate system designs.
- Work directly with customers to understand application requirements, system design needs, and maintenance requirements.
- Design, develop, modify, and optimize software systems based on technical and functional requirements.
- Develop and execute software testing and validation procedures.
- Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, implement corrections, and validate solutions.
- Conduct application and software trial runs to ensure functionality meets established requirements.
- Coordinate software installations and monitor application and system performance.
- Collaborate with systems analysts, engineers, developers, and other technical personnel to understand system limitations, capabilities, interfaces, and performance requirements.
- Develop, update, and maintain software applications supporting data storage, retrieval, processing, and other mission requirements.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation covering application architecture, source code, methodologies, workflows, and system revisions.
- Develop workflow diagrams and technical documentation describing application inputs, outputs, processing logic, and operational processes.
- Write or contribute to technical instructions, operating procedures, and end-user documentation.
- Investigate application and system issues involving networks, workstations, servers, operating systems, or peripheral technologies.
- Support the revision, repair, modernization, and expansion of existing applications to improve operational efficiency and meet new requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to other developers.
- Assign, coordinate, and review development activities when required.
- Participate in peer code reviews and promote software engineering best practices across the development team.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 16+ years of relevant professional experience;
OR
- Master's degree in a related technical discipline with 12-14 years of relevant professional experience.
- Extensive professional software development experience.
- Demonstrated experience with multiple programming languages and technologies, including:
- Strong frontend development experience using Vue.js and/or React.
- Experience developing and maintaining modern web applications.
- Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and maintaining applications within cloud environments.
- Experience with cloud application development and/or migration of legacy applications to cloud environments.
- Experience with database architecture and design.
- Experience with Windows and/or Unix/Linux operating systems.
- Experience using source code repositories and version control systems such as Git.
- Experience writing and maintaining unit and integration tests.
- Strong understanding of software testing and validation methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience documenting source code, software architectures, development methodologies, and technical processes.
- Experience analyzing customer requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
- Experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and enhancing production applications.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with customers, developers, engineers, analysts, and technical leadership.
