Position Description:

Senior Forward Deployed Developers on the Wealth360 platform are hands-on product developers who own features end-to-end - from design and development to deployment and production support.

Wealth360 is a cloud-native platform built on Go microservices, React/Next.js frontends, and PostgreSQL. Its API-first architecture powers both user-facing applications and AI-driven integrations. AI-assisted development is a core part of our culture, and developers are expected to leverage modern AI tools responsibly to accelerate delivery while maintaining high standards of quality and security.

This role is hybrid and requires attendance at our downtown Toronto office (250 Yonge St, Toronto) and/or client office a minimum of 2 days per week, subject to change.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and deploy features across Go microservices, React/Next.js applications, and PostgreSQL databases.
- Build and maintain scalable REST APIs and platform integration services.
- Develop modern UI components and frontend experiences using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and data models.
- Build secure, auditable integrations and AI-enabled workflows.
- Utilize AI coding tools to improve productivity while maintaining strong technical oversight.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, testing, and platform reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and mentoring.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

- 10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong backend or platform development focus.
- Strong expertise in Go and microservice-based application development.
- Experience building modern frontend applications with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Strong PostgreSQL experience, including schema design, query optimization, and database development.
- Experience designing and building REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with Docker or Podman, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
- Practical experience using AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have
- Experience with AI agents, LLM integrations, MCP, or agentic workflows.
- Event-driven architectures, CDC, or data streaming technologies.
- Terraform, Keycloak/OIDC, and infrastructure automation.
- Experience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
- Wealth management or financial services domain experience.

**CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $115,000-$165,000. This role is an existing vacancy.**
