Who we're looking for:Reporting to our Senior Manager, Finance, we're looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team. This role focuses on managing and analyzing wireless service revenue transactions. It plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and supporting cross-functional initiatives within a fast-paced telecommunications environment.
What you'll do:- Ensure all journal entries are prepared, reviewed, adequately supported with backup, and posted by close deadline, and have a strong understanding of the processes, controls, and accounting behind the financial documentation
- Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and develop an in-depth understanding of the related accounting with the ability to effectively document and explain the account transactions to various levels of management
- Ensure accounting treatment for existing and new transactions are in compliance with IFRS
- Support all quarter and year-end audit information requests and performance of SOX Controls
- Drive continuous improvement by proactively identifying areas for process improvement and automation
- Analyse results, and help investigate issues and propose solutions to management through in-depth analysis as they arise
- Support the Senior Manager on new revenue related projects by helping gather requirements, develop test cases, and perform business validations
- Lead special projects/ad-hoc assignments
What you bring:- CPA with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a fast-paced, challenging accounting environment
- Strong technical skills in IFRS and data analytics
- Ability to take initiative and manage multiple deliverables
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Oracle & Essbase. Experience with Databricks & SQL is an asset
- Advanced skills in Excel with the ability to use complex formulas
