Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst at PlainsCapital Bank applies advanced financial and analytical expertise to support business performance and strategic decision-making. This role works independently with minimal supervision, leading complex financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and analysis initiatives. The Senior Financial Analyst partners closely with finance and operational leadership to provide actionable insights, improve financial processes, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Monthly internal management reporting using Oracle PBCS (Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service) and SQL, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial results
  • Provide monthly regional financial reporting to Regional Presidents, delivering timely insights and exceptional customer service by responding to financial inquiries and supporting strategic decision-making
  • Lead the annual budgeting partnering with business leaders to develop accurate financial plans aligned with organizational objectives
  • Own and continuously enhance internal cost allocation models and transfer pricing methodologies
  • Perform complex financial analysis, identify trends, investigate variances
  • Prepare and present management level financial reporting, dashboards, and analyses to support key business decisions
  • Identify, and implement process improvement and automation initiatives that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
  • Maintain financial databases and models while ensuring data validation, reconciliation, and integrity across financial systems
  • Maintain and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for reporting, budgeting, and allocation processes
  • Apply analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex business and operational challenges
  • Safeguard confidential financial and business information
  • Coach and provide guidance to other analysts, interns, and finance rotational team members
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned


Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required
  • Able to work on-site in our Dallas, TX office
  • Three to five years of progressive experience in FP&A, accounting, or a related finance function
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications required
  • Experience with Oracle PBCS (Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service), SQL, and financial reporting tools strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple priorities, analyze complex financial data, and communicate clearly to leadership
  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships and effectively partner with other teams and individuals
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Experience leading projects, driving process improvements, and mentoring less experienced team members preferred
