Overview

The Sr. Analyst, Portfolio and Debt Reporting will serve as the primary owner of recurring lender reporting, portfolio compliance reporting, and executive operating dashboards to support the Company's real estate investment activities and financing.

The ideal candidate has owned recurring reporting workflows, validated data quality and reconciled information across multiple systems, and interpreted results to produce accurate, error-free deliverables for warehouse lending facilities, securitizations, structured finance transactions, portfolio management, debt covenant compliance, or rating agency reporting within an institutional real estate investor or REIT. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong analytic skills and the ability to manage large datasets and executive-level operating reports and dashboards using Excel, PowerBI and data warehouses. Candidates must local to the Dallas, TX area as the role is hybrid. Pay range for the role is $90,000 to $100,000 base salary with annual bonus potential.

Responsibilities

Loan Draw Administration, Funding Analytics and Compliance
  • Review, validate, and process borrower and asset-level draw requests including supporting documentation such as budgets, construction invoices, lien waivers, inspections, and funding requests.
  • Coordinate with Accounting, Project Management and external lending partners to facilitate timely funding.
  • Maintain loan-level funding schedules, utilization reporting, borrowing base calculations and collateral eligibility requirements.
  • Prepare recurring lender, investor, and compliance reporting packages for debt facilities and financing arrangements.
  • Produce loan- and collateral-level reports supporting covenant compliance and financing agreement requirements.
  • Reconcile reporting outputs against source systems, accounting records, lender reports, and other internal reporting packages.
  • Identify and escalate exceptions, compliance issues, or report discrepancies.


Business Intelligence & Operating Reporting
  • Develop and maintain executive-level Power BI dashboards and other reporting that support strategic decision making across acquisitions, dispositions, construction, operations and accounting/financing.
  • Translate business requirements into meaningful KPIs, visualizations, and reporting frameworks.
  • Analyze acquisition, disposition, financing and operations performance metrics.
  • Validate data integrity between source systems and reporting outputs.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes and improve data quality.
  • Support ad hoc analysis for senior leadership and business partners.

Process Improvement
  • Create reporting controls to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Improve reporting efficiency through automation and workflow optimization.
  • Develop documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Partner with Accounting, Project Management, Transactions, Dispositions, Operations, Finance and Technology to enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate finance, capital markets, portfolio analytics, loan compliance reporting, investor reporting, business intelligence, or related analytical roles. Preferably supporting lending facilities, securitizations or institutional real estate reporting in bulge bracket commercial bank lending, REITs, mortgage companies, or specialty finance lenders.
  • Strong analytic skills including knowledge of SQL, DAX and PowerQuery with proficiency in using MS Excel, PowerBI, and SSMS. Preferably creating dashboards, modeling data and developing KPIs for single-family residential portfolios.
  • Experience working with large datasets, data warehousing concepts and multiple source systems. Preferably familiar with loan covenants, borrowing base calculations and collateral reporting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate actionable findings and insights. Preferably familiar with rating agency reporting and investor reporting requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines and recurring reporting cycles in a fast paced environment. Preferably in an institutional real estate investor or REIT.
