What You'll Do40% -
Analysis- Assist in the preparation of financial analysis on performance of Horizon ventures and investment holdings.
- Oversees all facets of Horizon's real estate strategy from lease negotiation through to managing the construction process of all buildouts
- Assist with managing team's responsibilities on oversight of all treasury functions, including daily cash management and monitoring investments.

Forecasting & Business Planning- Update monthly forecasts, including cash, working capital and investment income, and related variance analysis as required.
- Participate in the annual budgeting process for Horizon managed ventures. Current Horizon ventures include Horizon Media Canada, Blue Hour Studios, 305 Worldwide, Night Market, Horizon Big, Evergreen Partners, InsideOut Sports & Entertainment, and Local Planet International.
- Assist with oversight of team responsibilities on creation of all joint ventures and strategic partnerships. This includes managing the process of diligence, implementation and post-acquisition activities to ensure new ventures integrate into Horizon's existing structure, as well maintaining primary responsibility for the oversight and management of the continued financial and operational performance of these ventures.

Ad-hoc Requests- Respond to ad-hoc reporting, analysis and special assignment, as needed, including major requests from the VP, Investments and Acquisitions.

Preferred Skills & Experience- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 3+ relevant years of accounting/finance experience, preferably with some experience in a transaction support or corporate finance role
- Proficiency in Excel is a must
- Knowledge of accounting fundamentals and US GAAP is a must
- Experience with Great Plains or similar G/L systems a plus
- Interest in the media industry is a strong plus, though prior experience is not a necessity
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations- CPA or equivalent highly favorable, but not required

Salary Range$85,000.00 - $100,000.00
A successful applicant's actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individual's skill sets, experience, training, education, licensure/certifications, and qualifications for the role.
