Full Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance Business Partnering, Shared Services this role includes support for full financial planning & analysis for select shared services/corporate functions (CF's), Finance, HR, Legal. In addition you will be, along with the Senior Manager, a prime point of contact between the relevant Corporate Function and the Central Finance team providing advice and guidance to Corporate Function team members as required. Working alongside the Senior manager and Director you will become part of a key advisory team to the functions, understanding key business drivers, contributing to strategic planning and execution, and helping create and implement recommendations to drive profitable business growth.

This role is hybrid (2-3 days/week in the office) - based in Toronto, ON.
Key Accountabilities:
Business Unit Support
• Full variance analysis, including detailed understanding on variances to budget, forecast, and prior year
• Help deliver insights into the variances and root causes of financial performance
• Support financial discipline across the Corporate Functions, ensuring targets are met by identifying potential risks and opportunities and advise on action plans to address gaps
• Counsel business unit and corporate function leadership teams with respect to financial management and financial impacts of operational decisions
• Analyze non-financial operating performance indicators, assessing trends and variances
• Support the creation of the monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting packages
• Support business case development, modeling/tracking, and post-mortem analysis
• Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process including assisting in the creation of forecast data and inputting into forecasting systems
• Prepare journal entries, identify and collect data and process key accruals/re-classification necessary to ensure completeness of liabilities and expenses. Perform quarterly reconciliations of relevant balance sheet accounts.
• Use Workday functionality to identify and act on process efficiency opportunities in month-end processes
• When required provide projects/initiatives status reporting for sponsored projects
Other:
• Support the maintenance of a reliable system of internal controls over financial reporting to adequately safeguard the company's assets and provide with integrity accurate reporting on financial results and in accordance with the requirements for CEO/CFO certification
• Perform ad hoc analysis as required
Skills & Experience:
Must Have(s):
• 2 to 5 years of relevant finance experience, including FP&A and internal management reporting, preferably in a large financial services or business consulting environment
• University degree with a business, engineering or science background; CPA/CFA preferred
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly communicate complex financial narratives to diverse cross-functional stakeholders
• Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to manage competing priorities and streamline team workflows
• Superior technical skills in Excel paired with strong hands-on financial modeling experience
• Demonstrated experience translating business objectives into structured and actionable business intelligence, with a focus on improving operational efficiency
• Hands-on experience integrating Generative AI/LLM tools into daily workflows
Nice to Have(s):
• Exposure to Data and Reporting Analytics, use of Quicksight
• Experience with Workday Financials and Adaptive
Salary Range: 90,000/year -100,000/year CAD
