Senior Financial Analyst, Enterprise Labor Productivity & Analytics

The Senior Financial Analyst, Enterprise Labor Productivity & Analytics will play a key role in supporting Performance Improvement within Financial Operations, with a primary focus on labor productivity analytics, charge-based units of service, internal benchmarking, productivity reporting, and enterprise labor performance monitoring. This role will partner closely with Finance, Operations, and the Transformation Management Office (TMO) to help build a scalable analytics foundation for labor productivity and expense management across MSK.

Role Overview
  • Develop, maintain, and expand charge-based units of service methodology to support productivity reporting.
  • Support Strata Productivity expansion by partnering with Finance and operational stakeholders on data validation, methodology, and reporting needs.
  • Build internal benchmarking analyses that compare departmental productivity performance to budget, prior year, internal benchmarks, staffing models, and external benchmarks where available.
  • Analyze labor productivity and expense trends, including Worked Hours per UOS (WHPUOS), FTE variance, labor cost per UOS, overtime, agency, premium pay, and hours-to-volume correlation.
  • Integrate and analyze data from multiple sources, including payroll, volume, charge, financial, productivity, and benchmark data.
  • Identify departments or cost centers with unfavorable productivity, labor expense, or FTE trends requiring further review or financial sizing.
  • Develop executive-level dashboards, presentations, and recurring reports that communicate labor performance trends, variance drivers, and opportunity areas to Finance and operational leadership.
  • Partner with Performance Improvement, Fin Ops analysts, Operations, and TMO to support productivity opportunity validation, financial sizing, and value realization activities.

Key Qualifications
  • 4-5 years minimum of progressive experience in finance, financial planning, accounting, revenue cycle management, or general analytical related experience.
  • Healthcare or hospital finance experience strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency required; experience with Strata and enterprise financial systems preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and executive-level reporting.
  • Proven ability to support labor productivity, operating budgets, and complex financial initiatives

  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex financial, operational, labor productivity, and performance metrics.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work across large and complex datasets.
  • Comfortable working with data from multiple systems and reconciling differences across financial, operational, productivity, and benchmark sources.
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to influence and partner across Finance, Operations, TMO, and departmental stakeholders.
  • Self-directed and effective at managing multiple priorities, analytical workstreams, and evolving project needs independently.
  • Clear and effective communicator who can translate complex labor productivity and financial analyses into actionable insights for varied audiences.


Additional Information
  • Location: Remote / Hybrid with flexibility to come on site as needed.
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm.
  • Reports To: Director, Financial Operations - Performance Improvement.

Pay Range: $102,800.00 - $164,500.00
