As a
Senior Field Service Technician, you will serve as one of our most experienced technical resources, supporting the maintenance, repair, overhaul, and modernization of electro-hydraulic equipment manufactured, licensed, or otherwise supported by Jered and PAR Marine Services. Building upon your field service expertise, you will lead complex troubleshooting efforts, mentor junior technicians, assist with highly technical quotations, and serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers around the world.

Senior Technician, you'll take that responsibility a step further by leading field service activities, resolving challenging technical issues, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Success Criteria:Customers and junior technicians alike will rely on your experience to troubleshoot complex electro-hydraulic systems, conduct failure analysis, and develop practical solutions in demanding shipyard and marine environments. Your ability to mentor others, communicate effectively with customers, and lead work in the field will be just as important as your hands-on technical skills.
Success in this role starts with a strong foundation in marine equipment, shipyard operations, and field service. Mastery of technical documentation, a commitment to safety and quality, and the ability to balance customer, schedule, and budget requirements will establish you as a trusted leader within the organization and a valued partner to our customers.
Qualifications: - High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 8-10 years of experience in shipyard, field service, maritime machinery, or a related industry
- Experience with cargo elevators, personnel elevators, cranes, windlasses, capstans, steering systems, electric doors, and other electro-hydraulic marine equipment
- Demonstrated expertise troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, and commissioning complex electro-hydraulic systems in marine, shipyard, or heavy industrial environments
- Strong technical skills combined with excellent communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to mentor, train, and develop junior technicians while leading field service activities
- Ability to present complex technical problems and recommended solutions to customers, craftsmen, and team members
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, work instructions, and technical documentation and convey requirements to craftsmen and junior technicians when required
- Must be proficient with computers and computer software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain security access to military installations, ships, commercial shipyards and waterfront controlled industrial areas.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and strong troubleshooting abilities. Must be able to generate condition reports on troubleshooting efforts
- Ability to function within working conditions of a shipyard
- Ability to travel on average 50% domestically and internationally and ability to support evening and weekend hours as needed
