Full Job Description
Who we're looking for

We're looking for someone who's fired up by our mission and ready to build. You'll thrive here if you adapt quickly, take ownership, and care about the details.

This is a full-time, role at our Los Angeles headquarters with 75% travel. You'll report to Supervisor, Field Service and work closely with a lean, high-trust team where everyone's work matters.
Core responsibilities
  • Maintaining and servicing customer boats in the field as well as our fleet of internal boats
  • Contributing to improving service standards, protocols, and processes
  • Collaborating with engineering and production teams to implement improvements on boat designs, production methods, or service processes.
  • Becoming an expert in assembling, troubleshooting, and disassembling all major boat systems
Basic qualifications
  • High school degree or GED certification
  • Proficiency using mechanical and electric hand tools
  • 2-5 years experience experience building and troubleshooting electromechanical systems such as electric motors, batteries, sensors, electronics, controls, pneumatics, etc, experience with electric/hybrid vehicles a plus
  • Willingness to travel nationally at least 50% on average, and up to 75% during busy periods
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, work instructions, electrical schematics, and product data sheets
  • Ability to stand 6-10 hours per day and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to cultivate positive relationships with all external parties while working in the field
  • Ability to operate independently and make technical decisions supported by data
  • Excellent written and verbal professional communication skills
Bonus qualifications
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
  • Experience with fiberglass, gel coat repairs or detailing
  • Comfortable pushing an intense but sustainable pace
  • Experience driving and trailering boats
  • Enthusiasm for boating and clean energy
