Position Title: Senior Field Operations Engineer, ISR

Location: Irvine, CA

Work Arrangement: 100% On-Site

Position Summary

The Senior Field Operations Engineer - ISR is a key contributor to DZYNE's field support capability, functioning primarily as the home-team anchor for the FOE organization. While deployed assets are supported in the field by Field Service Engineers and Representatives, this role ensures that the data collection methods, reporting systems, and knowledge bases those personnel rely on are well-designed, consistently utilized, and continuously improved; enabling the broader FOE team to deliver effective reach-back support to deployed operations.

This engineer brings a background rooted in technical documentation, systems design capture, or test and evaluation, experience that instills a deep appreciation for why rigorous data collection matters, not just for solving the issue at hand, but for building institutional knowledge that prevents recurrence and informs future design. Working closely with the wider Field Engineering Team, this position collaborates on the development and evolution of field data infrastructure, FRACAS processes, and operational reporting systems, with shared ownership of their long-term growth and products.

Technical depth in electrical, avionics, or RF subsystems is essential, providing a complementary systems perspective to the team's existing mechanical and field operations expertise.

Some of the platforms you might be working on include;

  • Analyze maintenance and failure data to identify trends, generate reports and summaries, and present findings to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership.
  • Manage and evolve the field technical knowledge base, ensuring it remains current, searchable, and actionable for both home-team and deployed personnel providing reach-back support.
  • Assist in the development and upkeep of training materials that ensure field personnel understand and consistently apply established data collection and reporting standards.
  • Serve as a technical resource for electrical, avionics, and RF subsystems; support troubleshooting analysis and root cause investigations for issues within that domain.
