Full Job Description
Senior Federal Account Executive to join our team! The Federal AE is responsible for developing and increasing the federal market segment for Copper River IT. This includes identifying and qualifying opportunities, meeting and presenting to prospective clients, and essentially owning and coordinating the entire sales cycle. The sales focus will be with Copper River's core partners such as Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco, Aruba, and other strategic OEMs.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Develop and implement a sales plan to achieve sales target
  • Proactively gain new business through professional networking and by devising a creative, effective sales approach with solutions to find and close federal sales opportunities
  • Develop new market initiatives, assess new markets, and analyze business opportunities
  • Work with marketing, sales, and product development teams to implement business development initiatives
  • Present ideas and report facts and other information to management and team
  • Manage own workflow and resolve questions and problems with supervisor


Required Knowledge/Experience:
  • Minimum Ten (10) years of experience with managing and leading capture activities within the federal sector
  • Established contacts in the DOD and/or Civilian federal sector space
  • Prior experience selling under NASA SEWP and other GWAC federal contracts
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Government procurement processes and trends
  • Ability to understand and interpret the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
  • Excellent writing, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to take initiative and perform independent, initial problem solving; be resourceful, prioritize, and organize daily activities; attention to detail is a must
  • Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines; assertiveness is a must
