COHO Consulting Group is seeking an experienced and highly motivated
Senior HR Specialist to join our team supporting our Washington Headquarters Services (WHS) Human Resources Directorate (HRD) Hiring Support Services program. In this role, you will bring your expertise in Federal HR hiring/staffing processes to support and manage various HR operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of six years of experience in Federal HR, with at least four years focused on staffing and talent acquisition. Additionally, the candidate must have experience with automated HR systems, including USA Staffing and DCPDS.
This hybrid position will be located at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA, at least 2-3 days per week.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):- Manage full-cycle recruitment and staffing processes for Federal positions, including job announcements, candidate assessments, and final selection procedures.
- Certify job announcements and candidate selections in compliance with Federal regulations, leveraging your Delegated Examining Certification (preferred).
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and ensure effective and efficient hiring processes.
- Administer HR automated systems (USA Staffing, DCPDS) for various HR functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Provide expert guidance on Federal HR policies and procedures, offering support in managing employee relations and HR compliance.
- Maintain records and documentation related to staffing and recruitment, ensuring alignment with Federal HR regulations and standards.
- Keep abreast of changes in Federal HR laws, regulations, and policies to ensure the agency remains compliant.
- Monitor HR Specialist actions for rework, caseload management, and new hire benchmarks.
- Provide surge and backup support for HR Specialists and Project Manager.
- Create an annual training plan for contract staff and host training sessions.
- Create desk guides and other materials to assist contract team productivity.
Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements:- Clearance:
- Active Secret Clearance required
- Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field (Business Administration, Organizational Development, Human Resources Development, Organizational Psychology)
- Delegated Examining Certification preferred and the ability to certify job announcements and candidate selections
- Required Knowledge/Experience:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Federal HR, with at least 4 years focused on Federal staffing
- Proven administrative skills and experience with HR automated systems, including USA Staffing and DCPDS
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Position Pay Range
$75,000-$95,000 USD
