Job SummaryThe Senior Facility Manager (SFM) provides strategic and operational leadership for all exterior and landscape functions across assigned properties, ensuring a high-performing, safe, and visually exceptional environment. The role's primary purpose is to balance proactive site enhancement with responsive operational execution, while developing strong field leadership and long-term program sustainability.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Drive Landscape & Exteriors Continuous Improvement: Conduct proactive reviews of site audit exterior conditions, identify needs, and prioritize initiatives that elevate curb appeal and safety to preempt client escalations
- Ensure Operational Continuity & Swift Resolution: Act as an operational bridge during FM vacancies, overseeing FM/FC pods to remove roadblocks, hold vendors accountable, and drive urgent completion of work orders
- Manage Surge Capacity & Field Triage: Deploy into the field to lead rapid responses for high-volume events, such as severe weather, major asset failures, seasonal spikes, and portfolio rollouts
- Lead FM Development & Strategic Coaching: Provide structured field-level mentorship, conduct process training for operational pods, and coach teams on the "6 Es" to enhance operational efficiency, staff engagement, and the family experience
- Perform Data & Trend Analysis: Review regional work order data to identify recurring exterior issues, applying financial rigor to develop and propose strategic, long-term capital replacement plans
Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in facilities management
- FMP or CFM preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, including, but not limited to, safety policies, procedure manuals, and maintenance specifications. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations
- Requires experience with MS Word, MS Excel, email, and CMMS

Work is split between a professional office environment, about 85% of the time, and active field deployment.
