THE ROLE: SENIOR FACILITIES MANAGER
The Senior Facilities Manager will oversee all building-related activities for all bakeries, ensuring that our facilities are safe, well-maintained, and meet the needs of the organization. This role involves coordinating with various departments, managing costs, vendor relationships, and supervising staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
The ideal candidate is organized with a strong ability to multi-task and a knack for operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. A sweet tooth and passion for Levain's products and culture are a must!

Job Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
• Recruit, train, and supervise staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to organizational standards
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Provide management and oversight of sub-contracted ESFM vendors
• Model DEI principles and ensure they are upheld in operations and workplace practices, where team members foster a culture of inclusion
• Facilitate open, clear, and effective verbal and written communication with team members, vendors, and management
• Manage financial duties, such as invoice reconciliation, vendor payments, and PO management
Facilities Experience
• Conduct daily walkthroughs of sites, inspecting building systems and equipment in office and bakery spaces
• Manage day-to-day facility operations, including cleaning, security, pest control, and machine services
• Responsible for management and oversight of the following services: grease trap cleaning, kitchen equipment PM/repairs, elevator maintenance, HVAC terminal units, pest control, janitorial services, waste management, walk-up printer maintenance, and interior plant maintenance
• Assembly, disassembly, and repair of furniture; installation of wall-mounted accessories, art, and shelving
• Ensure all facilities are safe, clean, and functional - maintaining the welcoming environment our customers and teams expect every day
Facilities Operations & Maintenance
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and systems to ensure safety and operational efficiency
• Create and implement systems and procedures to improve the maintenance of facilities while using strategic thinking to take preventative measures where needed
• Receives and self-performs work order requests, or initiates work with relevant vendor
• Verify compliance with safety regulations and operational policies
• Ensure all facilities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations; conduct regular safety inspections and audits
Project & Financial Management
• Negotiate and manage contracts with service providers and vendors for maintenance, repairs, and other facility-related services
• Assist in the management of construction projects, renovations, and other facility improvements
• Demonstrated experience in managing construction and renovation projects
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Prepare and manage the facilities budget, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective operations
• Experience in inventory management and cost control
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring timely reordering and proper storage
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., IFMA, BOMA) are a plus
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in facilities management or a related role, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity
• 3-5 years of previous food manufacturing operations experience; F&B experience required
• Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
• Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations and compliance requirements
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office
• Ability to work days, afternoons, evenings, and weekends as dictated by seasonal or business needs
• Read and communicate in English, both verbally and in writing; bilingual in Spanish a plus
Compensation & Benefits
• $110,000 - $125,000 + 15% quarterly bonus potential
