Full Job Description
About this role:

MATTE is looking for an experienced Experiential Producer to join its Experiential department, supporting a dedicated client account. This role will be embedded within the account team and responsible for leading the production and execution of experiential projects and activations for the client from kickoff through delivery and wrap.

The Producer will develop a deep understanding of the client's brand, business, standards, and ways of working, serving as a consistent production partner across projects. This role requires strong creative production capabilities and a working understanding of technical production-including AV, lighting, scenic, staging, and fabrication-to confidently manage vendors and ensure creative concepts are executable, on budget, and delivered to a high standard.

The Producer reports to the Head of Production and works closely with dedicated account leadership and cross-functional teams across Client Services, Creative, Strategy, and Operations.
  • Leading experiential production across the dedicated client account, managing projects from initial kickoff and creative development through execution, on-site delivery, and final wrap.
  • Developing a strong understanding of the client's brand guidelines, expectations, processes, and production standards and ensuring consistency across all programs and activations.
  • Building and managing comprehensive production plans, schedules, scopes, budgets, staffing plans, and deliverables across multiple projects and workstreams.
  • Partnering closely with Creative and Client Services to translate creative concepts into executable production plans while maintaining the integrity of the original idea.
  • Managing creative and technical production across experiential projects, including scenic, fabrication, AV, lighting, staging, specialty technology, and other production disciplines as required.
  • Sourcing, bidding, negotiating with, and managing production vendors, fabricators, contractors, and technical partners throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborating with technical vendors, fabrication partners, and AV teams to evaluate feasibility, identify potential challenges, and develop solutions early in the production process.
  • Reviewing renderings, gear lists, shop drawings, production specifications, and other technical documentation in partnership with appropriate technical specialists.
  • Overseeing on-site production, including load-in, installation, testing, rehearsals, live execution, and load-out, with the ability to troubleshoot alongside vendors and partners on the ground.
  • Building and managing project budgets across varying levels of scale and complexity, maintaining accurate forecasting and maximizing project profitability in partnership with the Director of Experiential.
  • Tracking project scope closely, identifying out-of-scope requests, and proactively developing additional estimates and securing necessary approvals before work proceeds.
  • Ensuring projects comply with applicable venue requirements, permits, licenses, safety standards, and other relevant regulations.
  • Managing and overseeing junior producers, freelance production staff, and other project-based resources as needed.
  • Proactively identifying production risks, dependencies, and potential challenges and developing solutions before they impact timelines, budgets, or deliverables.
  • Maintaining clear and consistent communication across the client, internal teams, vendors, and external partners throughout each phase of production.
  • Collaborating closely with Client Services, Creative, Strategy, Operations, and other internal teams to ensure seamless integration across the account.
  • Managing multiple concurrent projects and priorities while maintaining organization, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
  • Serving as a trusted production partner to the client and internal account team, bringing solutions-oriented thinking and strong production expertise to every project.
  • Representing MATTE's experiential production standards internally and externally and ensuring all work is delivered with a high level of creative quality, technical accuracy, and operational excellence.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Track record of managing a team, with experience managing employees with different working styles
  • An ability to think fast, problem solve, present solutions and react positively to unexpected issues
