The salary range for Sr Estimator is $191,000- $218,000 depending on experience.

WDF Inc., a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking a SeniorEstimatorto join ourMt Vernon, NYoffice.

DESCRIPTION:

As a SeniorEstimatorat WDF Inc., reporting to the Chief Estimator you will have the opportunity to:

  • Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts,productivityanalysisreports,etc.intounitandmanhourfigures

  • Provide and/or coordinate full estimating services on large, complex work and all types of contracts

  • Reviewproposalspecifications,drawings,attendpre-bidmeetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.

  • Providecompleteconceptual(orbidwork)andfinalestimating input on complex projects

  • Providetechnicalsupporttopersonnelpreparingdiscipline estimates for assigned bids

  • Insureallworkingdocumentsanddataaremaintainedtoback-up estimate figures

  • Assistcontractingdepartmentduringpreparationofinquiriesand final evaluation of submitted bids as required

  • Track awarded contracts as required - may include estimating/pricingextraworkitems,changeorders,credit; procuring materials, etc.

  • Performadditional assignments per supervisorsdirection

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Construction Management or similar from an accredited institution

  • 5+ years of relevant estimating and project management experience

  • 10 or more years experience estimating for building projects

  • Previous estimating experience on projects over $100M in value

  • Hands on experience in public projects, including buildings, infrastructure, and/or commercial construction projects

  • Experience working with HCSS Heavy Bid, Blue Beam, MS Excel, SmartBid

  • Thorough knowledge of company procedures, estimating techniques, all engineering disciplines, cost control systems and accounts required

  • Good communication skills to effectively solicit and work with individual project owners representatives, material suppliers and subcontractors in pre-bid estimate preparations and post-bid negotiations

  • Capable of effectively working within a cohesive Heavy Civil estimating staff to facilitate comprehensive cost proposals and conclude efforts during joint venture team reviews on major projects when applicable

  • Excellent written and verbal skills
