Full Job Description
The Opportunity:

At UCF, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions is the backbone of the student experience, and this role sits at the heart of keeping it running. As a member of the UCF IT Student Systems Support Team, the Senior ERP Business Systems Analyst partners with university and student service organizations to provide technology support for critical business operations. The role collaborates with stakeholders and developers to improve system functionality, user experience, and business processes; gathers and documents functional requirements; ensures compliance with university policies and strategic plans; and supports system upgrades, testing, conversions, and ongoing maintenance. This position is responsible for the business requirements analysis specifications, testing, and on-going maintenance support of the Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (CS) production applications to help plan, schedule, and manage application tools upgrades and patches, and providing leadership with system performance and data analysis to support decision-making.

Beyond Campus Solutions, the Senior ERP Business Systems Analyst extends some of that expertise to Financial and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) and Human Capital Management (HCM) historical reference databases.

Classification Title: Application Systems Analyst IV

Responsibilities:

Business Requirements Analysis
  • Leads complex stakeholder engagement and functional analysis activities by conducting stakeholder meetings to gather, analyze and document system requirements, translate requirements into functional system specifications, components, implementation estimates and project plans.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates university administrative and student systems and related business processes to identify opportunities for re-engineering, automation, and optimization. Develops recommendations with institution-wide impact and provides analytical data and performance metrics to support management decision-making. Establishes and maintains functional documentation standards and ensures the accuracy and completeness of system configuration documentation, business process documentation, functional specifications, data flow diagrams, and process models in accordance with university standards.
  • Provides analytical data to track system and team performance.


Project Management & Documentation
  • Manages deliverables and project documentation and facilitates project meetings.
  • Maintains effective documentation based on standards for system configuration, business process documents, functional specifications, business process diagrams, data flow diagrams and flowcharts.
  • Provides support for ERP maintenance planning and scheduling.
  • Provides project management support for implementation of patches and upgrades.


System Support & Issue Resolution
  • Serves as a senior escalation point and functional subject matter expert for complex system issues affecting production environments. Conducts root-cause analysis, documents and tracks issues, and leads coordination of resolution efforts with development teams, technical support staff, vendors, and other university resources.
  • Provides senior-level functional leadership for ongoing ERP operational support, contributing expert guidance to system maintenance activities, change coordination, and functional enhancements while minimizing operational risk and service disruption.
  • Investigates errors, diagnoses problems, documents the problem, tracsk issues, and recommends solutions.
  • Coordinates problem resolution with development or systems support team members and other UCF support resources.
  • Performs diagnostics, troubleshoot problems, and escalate problems to vendors.


Testing & Training
  • Leads and performs functional testing activities, including the development and maintenance of test plans and test scenarios. Coordinates and executes testing for production support, maintenance, and system changes to ensure system stability, data integrity, and alignment with business requirements.
  • Updates test plans, builds test scenarios, and performs systems testing for production support, maintenance, or upgrades.
  • Develops and contributes to training materials, delivers functional training as needed, and provides mentoring and knowledge transfer to less-experienced analysts and stakeholders to promote consistent system use and best practices.
  • Provides content for the development of training, and conducts training when required.
  • Performs other duties as required.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 9 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Five or more years of experience supporting enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications, preferably in a higher education environment.
  • Advanced functional knowledge and experience with Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions; advanced experience with PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) and Human Capital Management (HCM) can be considered as transferable experience.
  • Experience with the full lifecycle of a higher education ERP platform, such as PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Banner, or a comparable system - including business systems analysis, data mapping, configuration, production support, and upgrade/patching processes.
  • Experience leading complex system implementations, upgrades, testing initiatives, or business process improvement projects.
  • Experience translating business requirements into functional system specifications and documentation, including data flow diagrams, flowcharts, or business process models.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, including the ability to investigate, diagnose, and document complex system issues and coordinate resolution across technical and functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate stakeholder engagement, gather and document business requirements, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience coordinating project tasks, managing deliverables, and facilitating stakeholder meetings in a systems implementation or support context.
  • Experience analyzing and improving business processes through process reengineering and automation.
  • Skilled at conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences, including experience developing or delivering end-user training.
  • Experience analyzing system and business process data to identify trends and support leadership decision-making.


Special Instructions to the Applicants:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $98,295 - $115,000. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.

This role is based on-site at UCF's Main Campus in Orlando, FL. Candidates should expect to work on campus as of their start date. On-site presence is an essential function of this role.
