Compensation: $161,000 - $191,000 depending on experience
What You Will Be DoingYou will serve as both a business builder and a technical leader, which means your days will be varied and your impact will be visible. On any given week you might be:
- Developing and nurturing client relationships across real estate, renewable energy, transportation, government, and resource extraction sectors
- Leading or overseeing project work spanning wetland and stream assessments, Clean Water Act permitting, NEPA review, fisheries studies, fluvial geomorphology, and ecological restoration
- Driving business development by identifying opportunities, crafting proposals, and closing work
- Building the Oregon team by hiring, mentoring, and developing staff as the program grows
- Collaborating with colleagues across other offices and disciplines including cultural resources, GIS, water resources, and engineering to deliver integrated solutions
- Establishing a growth and hiring plan aligned with market demand
- Fostering a culture where people want to show up and do their best work
What You Bring to the Table- 12 or more years of experience in natural resources or environmental consulting
- A track record of building or expanding a consulting program or market, not just participating in one
- Strong working knowledge of Oregon and federal wetland and aquatic resource regulations
- Established relationships with clients and regulatory agencies in Oregon
- Experience leading people and developing teams, whether formally or informally
- A self-starter mindset and comfort with the seller-doer model
- A bachelor's degree in environmental science, ecology, biology, or a related field (master's preferred)
- Exposure to NEPA, FERC, or cultural resources work is a plus
