Full Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead and grow a team of software developers as we embark on a company-wide transformation. This is your chance to use cutting edge tools to build software applications of the future - driving a technical vision while leading teams to deliver on modern digital and operational capabilities across key Telecom domains such as Digital, Field, Ordering, and OSS. Key responsibilities include: • Lead multiple software developers across cross-functional Agile teams, ensuring consistent delivery of business value, predictable execution, and strong engineering discipline • Drive AI adoption, modernization of applications, and integrations across Telecom domains (such as Digital, Field, Ordering, OSS), aligning delivery with platform and enterprise architecture direction • Establish and evolve engineering practices for cloud-native delivery on Azure, including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, secure-by-design, and operational readiness • Practice servant leadership by supporting developers and technical leads through hiring, performance development, career paths, mentoring, and ensuring a culture of accountability, learning, and inclusion • Collaborate with product owners, business leaders and partners on roadmap execution, capacity planning, dependency management, and risk/issue escalation across teams and vendors/partners • Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements including performance, security, resiliency, scalability, data integrity, and compliance while adopting modern software development principles, frameworks and platforms The ideal candidate will possess: Required Qualifications • 8+ years in software engineering roles with 3+ years leading teams (people leadership and delivery accountability) in a product-centric or Agile delivery environment • Proven experience delivering enterprise systems and integrations in complex, cross-functional environments • Strong technical background with modern application development, APIs/integration patterns, and cloud fundamentals (preferably Azure) • Demonstrated experience building software that accounts for performance, observability and security • Demonstrated ability to improve delivery outcomes (quality, cycle time, reliability) using metrics, continuous improvement, and pragmatic engineering practices • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to translate between business outcomes and technical execution Technical Qualifications • 8+ years working in C# .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, Golang, Java, or other comparable software development environments • Working experience building and maintaining Microservices and Web API services using technologies like GraphQL, gRPC, REST, SOAP XML • Working experience building and maintaining customer facing UIs using ReactJS, NextJS, VueJS, Angular, and/or other JS frameworks • Demonstrated understanding of event driven architectures and messaging services using tools such as Azure Service Bus, AWS SNS/SQS, Google Pub/Sub, Kafka, RabbitMQ, and/or equivalent technologies • Working experience with Azure, AWS and/or GCP using managed services • Strong understanding of containerized application development and management using tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, and/or OpenShift • Storage Technologies: Databricks, Cosmos DB, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redis, Mongo DB, DynamoDB and/or other equivalent technologies • Observability Platforms: Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace, ELK • CI/CD tooling: Azure DevOps pipelines, GitHub actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD • Test automation: Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber • AI Tooling: GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code and/or other equivalent technologies • Strong understanding of Cloud Native principles and frameworks Preferred Qualifications • Experience working with Salesforce Marketing and Service Cloud • Experience in Telecom OSS/BSS domains and customer lifecycle processes • Familiarity with TM Forum • Experience leading modernization initiatives (legacy decomposition, platform migration, integration modernization, domain/platform realignment). • Exposure to SRE/production operations practices (SLIs/SLOs, incident management, runbooks, post-incident reviews, operational automation). • Experience working with distributed teams and vendors/partners Condition of Employment: As a condition of employment and in order to comply with industry related data security standards, this position is subject to the successful completion of a Criminal Background Check.
