Full Job Description
About this role

As a Senior Engineering Manager at Scribe, you'll be at the forefront of building and scaling a product that transforms how people document and share knowledge. You'll lead a high-performing full-stack team, tackling complex technical and product challenges in a fast-moving environment. The team is responsible for a new, AI-driven product that we believe is going to be wildly successful with our existing customers and new ones, too. Beyond building great products, you'll shape Scribe's engineering culture, drive technical excellence, and contribute to company-wide strategy as we scale.

We work with a variety of technologies, particularly React, NextJS, Django, Postgres, and AWS. We also build features that interact heavily with modern, best-in-class commercial large language models (LLMs). While experience with these technologies is helpful, we value adaptability and a willingness to learn just as much.

Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the technical vision, leading the team to build scalable, reliable, and elegant solutions.
  • Own product outcomes, working closely with product, design, and business leaders to ensure we're solving the most important problems.
  • Architect processes that scale, balancing speed and stability as the company grows.
  • Drive execution, ensuring the team consistently ships high-impact, high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.
  • Raise the bar, fostering a culture of technical excellence, rapid iteration, and continuous improvement.
  • Be a force multiplier, hiring, coaching, and mentoring a high-caliber, diverse team of engineers.

You could be a great fit if you have
  • 5+ years of experience leading and scaling high-performing engineering teams in fast-growing startups or similarly dynamic environments.
  • A strong technical background (10+ years overall experience), with the ability to dive deep when necessary but also operate at a strategic level.
  • You have experience building AI-driven products that have been widely adopted in an enterprise environment
  • A proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain world-class engineering talent, fostering a culture of ownership, learning, and impact.
  • Can thrive in ambiguity-able to drive clarity, alignment, and execution even when navigating the unknown.
  • Can lead through others - as the team grows you know how to delegate outcomes to others in a responsible way while still owning the final results
  • Relentlessly curious and always improving-you believe there's always a better way and challenge the status quo.
  • An interest in being customer-facing. We pride ourselves on being connected with our customers to understand their use cases in order to deliver them a great product experience.

Full-Time US Employee Benefits Include
