Job DescriptionWithin Kilt, the Observability & Supervision team owns how the platform sees itself and reacts. We build the systems that collect metrics and logs from every host and service, evaluate that signal against what healthy is supposed to look like, escalate to the right owner with the right context, and increasingly act on their own, whether that means scaling capacity, triggering recovery, or adjusting behavior based on the live state of upstream dependencies. This is real-time distributed systems work with strict latency budgets, where a decision has to be both fast and correct under partial information, because a wrong action taken across a fleet is worse than no action at all.
For this role, we are looking for engineers with a passion for understanding how systems fail, not only how they work. You should be comfortable designing distributed control loops, reasoning about performance and correctness at scale, and owning a component from design through production operation. You should value simplicity, be direct in technical discussion, and be excited by problems where the answer is not yet known.

ResponsibilitiesBasic Qualifications- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or relevant technical field involving coding or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of full-time professional experience in software development
- Demonstrated ability to write great code using Java, GoLang, or similar languages
- Proven ability to deliver products and experience with the full software development lifecycle
- Experience working on large-scale, highly distributed services infrastructure
- Experience working in an operational environment with mission-critical tier-one livesite servicing
- Systematic problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, a sense of ownership, and drive
- Experience designing architectures that demonstrate deep technical depth in one area, or span many products, to enable high availability, scalability, market-leading features and flexibility to meet future business demands
QualificationsUS: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,200 to $209,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
