Senior Engineer, Application Development

Job Description:

THE ROLE:
Entegris is seeking a new Senior Application Engineer to lead CMP filtration application development and performance evaluation for slurry-based processes. This role will work independently to conduct complex experiments, provide data-driven insights, and collaborate cross-functionally with customers and internal teams to deliver optimized filtration solutions and improve product performance.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Lead CMP filter characterization and performance evaluation using slurry systems, including particle removal efficiency, pressure drop, and advanced filtration behavior analysis.

  • Independently design and execute complex experiments, interpret data, and develop insights to support product optimization and customer applications.

  • Drive cross–business unit (APS/MS) collaborations to define and deliver optimized, customer-specific filtration solutions.

  • Perform in-depth returned filter failure analysis; develop technical reports to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions or design improvements.

  • Develop, validate, and continuously improve test methodologies for filter qualification, including exploration and implementation of new technologies.

  • Act as a technical advisor to CMP Engineering, Product Management, and internal stakeholders by providing data-driven recommendations and solution strategies.

  • Interface directly with internal and external customers globally to present technical findings, troubleshoot application issues, and provide expert consultation on filtration performance.

  • Identify trends, anticipate technical challenges, and proactively propose innovative solutions to improve product performance and customer outcomes.


WHAT WE SEEK:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities with the ability to address complex and ambiguous technical challenges; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage diverse technical assignments with minimal supervision.

  • Solid knowledge of CMP process, slurry chemistry, filtration technologies, or semiconductor equipment, with 5+ years of relevant industry experience

  • Strong data analysis skills with attention to detail, including both quantitative evaluation and qualitative interpretation.

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and present technical concepts to customers.

  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, and effective verbal communication).
