  • Document processes and technical information to ensure clarity and compliance
  • Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies for project completion
  • Recommend automation for repetitive tasks to improve efficiency
  • Provide occasional on-call support as needed

What is the opportunity?

The Senior Endpoint Security Operations Analyst will provide in-depth technical expertise, consulting and advisory on a suite of applications for the Cyber Technology Service Operations team within RBC's Global Cyber Security environment supporting the Royal Bank of Canada. The Senior Endpoint Security Operations Analyst will ensure prompt resolution to any production problems and partners across IT and with assigned business line(s) to assess, research, and analyze business, technical and system needs to maintain RBC security posture.

What Will You Do?
  • Coordinate Change Management activities with Integration, Engineering, Application Teams and CTO Operations
  • Assist CTO Operations Team with day-to-day Incident / Change / Problem Management
  • Perform root cause analysis with vendor engineers and escalation teams for incidents and problems, along with implementing permanent solutions
  • Work closely with business partners to understand the business requirements and business capabilities.
  • Joint day-to-day support of Endpoint security applications (e.g. monitoring server health, compliance checks, planning for and performing updates)
  • Work closely with L2 and L3 support teams to understand the security products and operating environment
  • Ensure adequate processes and technical documentation is in place
  • Contribute to successful project completion by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for automation of repetitive tasks
  • Occasional On-Call Support

What You Need to Succeed?

Must have:
  • ServiceNow: 3+ years of hands-on experience with change management and incident management modules
  • Endpoint Security Tools: Familiarity with CrowdStrike, Snare, BeyondTrust, and other endpoint security platforms
  • Threat Surface Tools: Working knowledge of Tenable.SC, Aqua Public Cloud, Tenable.IO.Cloud, and similar scanning/compliance tools
  • Background: Experience in technology operations, incident ticket handling, and change request coordination
  • Key Skills: Strong communication, ability to manage multiple priorities, and proficiency with MS Office
  • Mindset: Comfortable navigating unfamiliar tools; ability to learn quickly in a fast-evolving security environment

Nice-to-Have:
  • ITIL Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related discipline
  • Information security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, CEH)
