What you’ll be doing

You’ll join CIBC’s Enterprise Endpoint Compute team as a Senior Endpoint Analyst, supporting the quality and reliability of Windows endpoint solutions before they are deployed at enterprise scale. In this role, you’ll work hands-on in the endpoint lab to validate operating systems, hardware, drivers, firmware, and automation solutions. You’ll partner closely with endpoint engineers to ensure solutions produce consistent, repeatable results and meet defined quality standards. You’ll also clearly communicate findings, test outcomes, and remediation recommendations to technical partners to support informed decision-making.

How you’ll succeed

  • Collaboration & Communication – You work closely with endpoint engineers and technical partners to validate solutions, troubleshoot functional and test scripts, and clearly communicate findings, technical concepts, and remediation steps.You present structured updates, document outcomes effectively, and provide actionable feedback that supports high-quality engineering outcomes.
  • Accuracy & Quality - You execute structured test cases for Windows 10/11 deployments, upgrades, drivers, firmware, and endpoint automation with a high degree of accuracy. You ensure results are recorded correctly, distinguish true defects from process deviations, and support successful validation before changes move into production.
  • Analytical Thinking - You apply critical thinking to identify defects, variances, and failure scenarios, including non-standard or destructive testing conditions. You analyze outcomes to determine root causes and help prevent repeat issues at enterprise scale. You clearly articulate your troubleshooting approach, root cause analysis, and recommended solutions to technical stakeholders.
  • Consistency - You help ensure repeatable, predictable results across testing cycles by validating hardware builds, operating systems, and automation in lab environments that closely align with production standards.
  • Continuous Learning - You demonstrate curiosity and a willingness to grow your technical skills, expanding your knowledge of endpoint technologies, automation, and testing practices while contributing to ongoing improvement initiatives. You actively share insights and learnings with the team to improve collective outcomes.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate 3+ years of experience. in a technical endpoint, lab, or systems support environment, including hands-on exposure to endpoint computer hardware and peripherals, Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11), endpoint upgrades involving operating systems, drivers, and firmware, PowerShell scripting for test execution and troubleshooting, and the preparation, execution, and documentation of structured test cases and results.You communicate technical concepts clearly and can walk others through your thought process when troubleshooting complex issues. It’s an asset if you have knowledge of cloud technologies and virtualization platforms such as Azure, Hyper-V, or ESXi, as well as configuration management, performance benchmarking, basic networking concepts, or automation tools used in testing environments.
