Position SummaryDirects, implements, and communicates performance management practices and philosophies. Primary contact for working with leaders on Performance Management issues including all level of disciplines and terminations. Consults with leadership both tactical and strategic levels on best practices for employee issues to ensure consistency across the organization to minimize risk. Provides Employee Relations related advice and counsel to business area employees and managers that is in accordance with company policies, practices, systems, and processes. Also manages internal employee relation investigations involving non-EEO related matters. Ensures compliance with federal and state legal requirements and company policies.
Essential Responsibilities- Leads and partners with leadership on performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions). Manage the performance management process to ensure effective and timely use. Support leaders in addressing and communicating employee performance issues and in developing performance improvement plans when necessary.
- Provide expert knowledge, critical feedback, and guidance to management on non-union terminations to minimize legal risk to the company. Ensure all applicable state laws are followed.
- Manage and conduct internal non-EEO employee investigations. Provide full explanation of findings and identify problems and/or potential areas of risk.
- Work with HR Business Partners and other HR areas to proactively manage employee performance issues. Partners in developing recommendations to address performance management trends.
- Develop and maintain standard processes and documents.
- Leads and supports project work.
Minimum Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, HR or related field.
- 5 years human resources related experience.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including, employee and union relations, EEO, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Master's Degree in HR or similar field or performance management experience preferred.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $73,700.00 to $104,633.00 per year
