Overview

Summary:

The Senior Electronics Engineer is the primary role for the sustainment of C5ISR equipment on Army Vessels. This position assumes ownership, and accountability, and provides leadership, guidance, and assistance across different segments.

 

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform and coordinate incident diagnosis, corrective action, and root cause analysis
  • Independently organize work requests based on departmental priorities and system criticality
  • Apply research principles and techniques to design, develop, and test electronic systems, equipment, and products
  • Actively participate in assessing alternative solutions for client needs as well as resolution of issues with stakeholders to ensure design is aligned with requirements
  • Develop and perform operational, maintenance, and testing procedures for electronic products, components, equipment, and system
  • Prepare engineering sketches and specifications for construction, relocation, and installation of equipment, facilities, products, and systems

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to read electronic schematics
  • Ability to troubleshoot test systems
  • Must have a high degree of technical competency
  • Must have overall system level expertise pertaining to the C5ISR assets installed on Army Vessels/Platforms
  • Must be detailed oriented
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires an engineering or technical degree (preferably electrical) with 4 years27 experience working with at least 3 of the following; Radars, satellite comminution systems, integrated bridge systems, C5ISR equipment, and GMDSS
  • Ten (10) years of experience in electronics can be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Requires experience in at least 2 of the following areas; Radars, satellite communication, integrated bridge systems, C5ISR equipment, or GMDSS.
  • Secret Clearance is required

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor27s degree in engineering or a technical field

 

Pay and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $135,000 to $142,000.
